[ They're not her first memories - the first she took several days ago. And while the prideful part of her says maybe private is better, the part of her that wants to know faster and more efficiently have chosen this. So it's later, after coming back from a run, that she decides to stop in the lobby a while before going back up to avante.]
[ She may regret choosing to purchase four memories in succession later, but for now:]
[ The first memory is that of a younger her, though that's not necessarily noted by the viewer, recapturing a young girl trying to run away. She returns to her friends to train and prepare for what they think will be war and decides the clever plan of trying to trick someone into giving an important item back - a book - by pretending to be that girl. It works, she acts as their prisoner-dragon trainer for a day. It involves suplexing a dragon into trusting her, having to save the other girl's parents, and nearly getting thrown off a cliff in the process.
Also, something about how violence is communication. ]
[ The second centers more around a familiar figure to some, a younger Rye. They compete with the other teenagers on Berk in the annual Thawfest games. While Astrid seems interested in scoring well in the aerial freestyle, she's otherwise not competitive here. Perhaps because it means having to deal with the aggressive Snotlout who's won every time... Something Hiccup/Rye has decided this year he can change and he will beat him. The two are petty to each other and Astrid doesn't appreciate Hiccup being a very sore winner as he does compete well against this Snotlout this year. But when he eventually gives up the race to allow Snotlout to make his father's proud, she's quick to show up at his side - punch him, call him the better Viking and encourage him... And kiss him. Somehow this is platonic, don't ask how. ]
[ The third memory is simpler and in a way a follow up of the second. It shows a Berk several years later with the teens - without Hiccup, who's definitely supposed to be there - competing in a race on their dragons. The objective: get points by collecting sheep while also doing the laps. Astrid thrives here and while she was good for being new in the Thawfest memory, she's definitely a better dragon rider here. It's a short affair: being annoyed by Snotlout and Fishlegs giving sheep to Ruffnut so she'll choose them and letting her win. Something Astrid's not having considering she backflips onto the other dragon, steals their sheep, and inevitably wins the game. ]
[ And finally in the last queued memory is a more difficult scene - It starts with Astrid and Rye training a dragon that had been forced to fight others to the death. It's not going well and a storm is rolling in - storms on the Edge are incredibly dangerous, this is why Astrid is the storm warden. They break it up to go secure everything and get everyone to safety. Once the humans are all in the clubhouse and Fishlegs questions if he properly secured the dragon stables a frustrated Astrid goes out into the storm to make sure it's done herself - It's a good thing she does as well, as irregardless, the stables are on fire and crashing down around the dragons. She takes the time to help free them and is almost out when she notices a Night Terror trapped - She stops to rescue him, but is unable to leave as two lightning bolts strike: one at her feet, apparently causing flash damage to her retina. The other seems to hit her and she passes out. When she wakes up later back in the clubhouse she can no longer see. She searches and seeks comfort from someone's presence, Hiccup. ]
[ While there is some reaction from her at the other three - though these seem more reasonably right, it's the last one that stuns her. It's the last one that gets the most reaction as she blinks and realizes that suddenly it's dark even in the lobby. She raises a hand and nope can't see it. ]

[ Hiccup had said something about him passing out once - She didn't think this could happen even so. ]

[ Rion's all settled in to take notes, and take notes he does as the two memories play out. ]
[ The first appears to be about rescuing a man from the belly of a shark only to hold him hostage for information while some kid beats on a young man with fire fists. ]
[ The second features that same kid with fire fists being kidnapped by Rion as a test for his 'family' which ends in beating up a local yakuza group under the half-baked plan of a literal baby. ]

The first one features a bunch of already-dead hilichurls and a vaguely familiar-looking young man with dark teal hair. Has she perhaps seen him somewhere around recently...?
In the second a Suspicious Person At Large (who also resembles one silly sensitIV) has her demonstrate a very unique ability for him.
After that a third memory showcases a certain ginger Wild City member being wrapped around the little pinky finger of his younger brother.
And the last memory features her hiking up a mountain with the world's least-likely-to-be-chaste-nun to meet a
scientistalchemist in the woods who's more interested in studying her than the landscape. ]... I think that's about enough for now.
[ None of these were bad memories by any means--in fact, the one with Childe was quite funny--but there sure were a lot of oddities revealed about her in these memories she needs to think about... ]
