[Tokyo-F is still going haywire, though things seem to maybe?? be getting their shit together???? after that awful Go Fish game.

Still, a storm blowing in isn't helping matters very much—especially since the storm seems to be more than a little haywire itself.

Some areas might be raining cats and dogs, while two steps away it's snowing gently. Can you dodge the pockets of bad weather to stay warm and dry?

Some areas might be raining cats and dogs...in plushie form. How good is your umbrella against stuffed animals? What about glittery purple rain, or snowflakes the size of your head?

And don't forget the wind. Some of the smaller creatures that have appeared throughout the city are getting tossed hopelessly about—possibly right into your face. Can you dodge your way to somewhere safe(r) before some slime in unwilling flight smacks you with an extra side effect or two?

At least everyone's still got their mixed-up powers to help keep them safe...]

[OOC: Mingle time! The general hook is that a big old storm has blown in and it's making all the ways Tokyo-F is hecked up, well, worse. I've written up some examples, but everyone is free to make up their own bad weather (just keep the event guidelines in mind!). You can also only run into good weather if you're not interested in playing with storm effects.

Otherwise, this post is open to whatever shenanigans you're up for. Game status effects, random event status effects, more unitswap shenanigans... Tokyo-F is your (fucked-up) oyster.]

[So there you are, minding your own business on a completely normal day.]

[Then you blink —

[— and find yourself, and many other idols, in an unfamiliar room.]

[The room is large and round and made of glass, like a globe. ...No, like a fish bowl.]

[On the other side of the glass walls, you can see indistinct shapes moving around, but the glass distorts the light so much that anything farther than arm’s length is just vague smears of colors and shadow blending with your own reflection. But something is there. Possibly a lot of somethings. ]

[Two formless shapes approach the glass, and as they do, their images resolve into the shapes of a pair of twins, one grinning while the other pointedly looks away from his brother. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the one who actually looks cheerful about being here is the first to speak up:]

Guess what~? You’ve been chosen to play in our very first game. Isn’t that exciting?

[He throws his arms out theatrically.]

Especially after soooo many boring games. The audience is looking for excitement and thrills here! Why not take the chance to really cement yourself as the fan favorite while you have the chance? Heck, it might even fix your little... “problem.”

[There’s a beat of silence, and he moves to elbow his brother who shoots him a “hey what the hell?” look before reluctantly facing the gathered idols.]

...Make sure you protect yourselves. Otherwise...

[He just lets the thought trail off before looking away again. His brother leans on him, resting an elbow on his shoulder as though waiting for him to continue before finally giving up and shaking his head with a sigh.]

When: ~~All at Once~~ Night 526 to Morning 527

[ At the darkest hour, those who are awake will see their shadows growing longer and longer under the city lights. They stretch and stretch—and even climb up the lamps, up the sky, to eclipse the moon itself. It isn't completely dark—it's like the current light's been lampshaded—but just for a brief, brief moment,

The whole world is grey.

—and then the color returns, but not all entirely in ways that you recall them being. The sky is at points purple or green, the grass is red and glittering, the buildings seem to be made entirely of glass at times and entirely of wood at other times. Each shift in your vision accompanies a visual "glitch", like pixelated television noise, and it's horrible for the eyes and head.

It's not just the city that's unstable, either; idols will find that their own colors are mixing, swapping, glitching—sometimes it's not just the colors but entire articles of clothing, as though quickchanging in a character creation screen—to one outfit or another. Sometimes it feels like there's an internal change too—like your guts are swapping out . . . or like your heart isn't yours . . . is that your neck, or someone else's?

Another oddity: the shadows are gone, even now in the middle of the night. Occasionally they flicker back—when the building or grass is "correct", what it used to be—but they aren't there for long, and disappear once more. Your own shadow though, and the shadow of other people? Completely gone, even when you feel "correct" again.

If you're looking for any clues on what's happening, who the culprit is, you might be able to catch a glimpse of dancing shadows on the ground, whisperlaughing at each other and running away as soon as they're seen by any idol. At the crack of dawn, one shadow holds up what looks to be the shape of a cylinder—shakes it—and then "sprays" shadow paint onto a nearby wall.

As the sun rises, those dancing, laughing shadows disappear—only the "paint" on the walls remain—and you idols are left to deal with the rest of this chaos. . . ]

[Fortunately, it looks like this is one of those non-mandatory games, where you can just help yourself to some snacks and wander off if you want. Or you can stay a while and play some cards for points.]

[As usual, there's a lot of food and drink of every type, and especially warm drinks like hot chocolate and mulled wine to help take the chill off on such a cold winter day. There are plenty of comfy-looking couches and wing-backed chairs this time, too.]

well, they're red bags. with fur lining. so maybe they're . . . santa bags . . . !!

Which means there must be gifts, right? Right? Which, yes. sort of.

Each bag has a dozen or so holiday decorations inside of them, and people who are caught aware (or are just unlucky enough to run into an already-opened bag) will find themselves accosted by one, with a little note of what the "cure" for the decoration is:

Once the cure has been fulfilled, the effect will fade, leaving the decoration a normal object. Until then, the decoration is stuck somewhere on an idol's body (movable, like it's metal to a magnet).

Status effects and decorations will disappear OOCly at the end of the month, so you can assume these are around for further posts!

The city itself seems to have been decorated for the holidays, with cutesy mascots and floats and Christmas lights bringing a festive mood, but be wary, because some of them are the very same cursed decorations accosting idols in the lobby right now and if you get too close they might stick to you................ ]

[And that's the show! The kiosk sinks and disappears into the ground, the Gametower finally fully returning to normal. The idols on the winning units will be able to 'toggle' off the strings they've been carrying around throughout the game. All they have to do is take the string and will it back to normal and the color will run clear and the string fades from view, the connection safely back in the metaphysical realm.

But the rest will find their threads still linger. Maybe they were lucky and whatever colors they landed on before the game ended was close enough to their normal relationships, or something else more tolerable, or they were unlucky and it's the most wildly weird relationship they could have. Either way their threads still spill off them and at this point, if it's not what they want... they might have some feelings to process.]

[You are yoinked to the game tower as if by a string attached to your hand. When you arrive, it's just the Gametower's normal lobby, except that every surface is covered in smooth colorful strings--lines spreading neatly everywhere and leading off in every direction, including back outside or up into the upper floors.

As characters wander around trying to figure out what's going on, they'll start to notice that there are colorful strings attached to them as well--mainly to their fingers, but maybe their arms, maybe their throats, maybe other places...?? These threads, the same as the strings around the lobby, float around them like gossamer, but can't be cut, and they glint and brighten when someone focuses on them, showing their color... Where does the other end go? If they try to follow them, they'll discover some of these are attached to someone else here, and some just fade off into the distance. Sometimes, when they find a person, the connecting thread will suddenly shorten no matter the color, tying the two body parts--and the two people--together, though it will probably slacken after a while as well.

In the middle of the lobby is a large touchscreen kiosk that reads:]

[If they go up to the screen they'll find they can use a color picker to put in the hex code for the color, and are free to write or dictate whatever meaning they think a color means. The kiosk also displays a couple color information lists that're empty at first but quickly starts filling up. If they check their phones, it'll also have this color/meaning form and a copy of the color lists displayed in the game rules app.]

[...Is that the game? For the moment, there doesn't seem to be anything else to it besides try to figure out who you've been tied to and what that means. Ominous...?]

[ He steps back to grab a basket of food he's gathered. ] Did you know they have delicious treats waiting for you here -?

Okay, so that's not it but! I was told our lives are to set vibes and I'm not sure what that is, something about whatever's cool? So! I figured I'd show off this neat sandwich I made! It's definitely a vibe! And if you think you're ambitious enough you can come try it - I have more!

Every participant can keep a costume they prefer however.

The hologram of the sheep judge appears, and this time he's BUNDLED UP, as if gearing up for winter. He sighs, looking up a monitor that alternate between displaying scores and Audience Choice moments.]

And just like that, the beasts inside us settle in for a long deep sleep. . .oh how quickly the seasons change!

[When the sun sets in Imeeji, there is an inexplicable fog that seems to role in, and a swarm of bats flutter through the sky as a gentle bell urges you to the game tower. On the way there you may see a stray black cat, or feel a bristle on your neck. SPOOPY.

At the Game Tower, idols will find it decked out in standard halloween-like fair, with yummy finger foods on a classy table for those who get hungry! Careful tho, as it seems like some raw meat samples or blood have been mixed in on the plates or punch bowls.

There are also a bunch of setups that weren't there before--a graveyard, a spooky mansion, a spacious pool, a seemingly endless dark forest, etc. Looks like there's a set up for different 'species,' should one need it.

Finally on a stage, there's a hologram of the Sheep Host. He's dressed like a dapper vampire, and sipping some grape juice.]

Fuufuufuu. . .that time again already. And it looks like we have a new baaa-tch of monsters~

Please, pick a card, and act on it to your heart's content! I wonder, can you tame the beasts inside of you? How scary~
