[ normally he wouldn't bother saying. he doesn't like talking about it. he honestly prefers to act like it didn't happen. but... she was there for that escape room disaster, and a few games have taken advantage of how much he couldn't stand the initial trip and how the transition still affects him from time to time. ]

I fell into the abyss when I was a kid, and while I managed to somehow claw my way back out things were never the same. I was never the same. [ he stuffs his hands into his jacket pockets, his tails all lifting to form a kind of half wall at his back. it doesn't really do much, but it makes him feel a bit better. ]

That must have been incredibly difficult for you.

She doesn't say that though. He doesn't need to hear something like that when he's unveiling something that's clearly a very painful memory to him. ]
