Rise! And shine! And holy fuck what the shit is that.

Rising tall above the skyline of the city is a massive translucent tree, which seemingly has sprouted from the deadzone crater and is bathed in light leading straight up to…Heaven? The hotel alarms are blaring, and the maintenance fairies are for once actually present and visible - despite the fact that there's nothing broken.

They're fluttering about frantically, screaming in panic at each other while doing…whatever they're doing. You can catch snippets of their speech -

"What is that!" "What is happening?" "Where is Madame-Administrator?" "Seal off all exits!" "Prepare for separation!"

Heaven graduates, meanwhile, find that all of them are receiving a message on their phones:

Hey, wanna free your friends?

[There wasn't much warning for this- a certain boy keeps almost every inch of his skin covered up, and doesn't have the eyes to realize something is amiss himself even when a couple of weird flower tattoos show up on his body. But tonight (and it is an UNGODLY hour of the night), several other idols feel oddly compelled to meet each other at the deadzone...]

[So there you are, minding your own business on a completely normal day.]

[Then you blink —

[— and find yourself, and many other idols, in an unfamiliar room.]

[The room is large and round and made of glass, like a globe. ...No, like a fish bowl.]

[On the other side of the glass walls, you can see indistinct shapes moving around, but the glass distorts the light so much that anything farther than arm’s length is just vague smears of colors and shadow blending with your own reflection. But something is there. Possibly a lot of somethings. ]

[Two formless shapes approach the glass, and as they do, their images resolve into the shapes of a pair of twins, one grinning while the other pointedly looks away from his brother. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the one who actually looks cheerful about being here is the first to speak up:]

Guess what~? You’ve been chosen to play in our very first game. Isn’t that exciting?

[He throws his arms out theatrically.]

Especially after soooo many boring games. The audience is looking for excitement and thrills here! Why not take the chance to really cement yourself as the fan favorite while you have the chance? Heck, it might even fix your little... “problem.”

[There’s a beat of silence, and he moves to elbow his brother who shoots him a “hey what the hell?” look before reluctantly facing the gathered idols.]

...Make sure you protect yourselves. Otherwise...

[He just lets the thought trail off before looking away again. His brother leans on him, resting an elbow on his shoulder as though waiting for him to continue before finally giving up and shaking his head with a sigh.]

You heard him! Give this game all you’ve got - got it?

[As everyone is finally starting to get their bearings with the strings and what they mean, and maybe learning a little about what they do, the kiosk and their phones will sound with a new alert.]

[When the sun sets in Imeeji, there is an inexplicable fog that seems to role in, and a swarm of bats flutter through the sky as a gentle bell urges you to the game tower. On the way there you may see a stray black cat, or feel a bristle on your neck. SPOOPY.

At the Game Tower, idols will find it decked out in standard halloween-like fair, with yummy finger foods on a classy table for those who get hungry! Careful tho, as it seems like some raw meat samples or blood have been mixed in on the plates or punch bowls.

There are also a bunch of setups that weren't there before--a graveyard, a spooky mansion, a spacious pool, a seemingly endless dark forest, etc. Looks like there's a set up for different 'species,' should one need it.

Finally on a stage, there's a hologram of the Sheep Host. He's dressed like a dapper vampire, and sipping some grape juice.]

Fuufuufuu. . .that time again already. And it looks like we have a new baaa-tch of monsters~

Please, pick a card, and act on it to your heart's content! I wonder, can you tame the beasts inside of you? How scary~

[He keeps it short and sweet, and once everyone arrives and takes a card, the hologram disappears.]

[It's a brisk evening, and the breeze carries a chill edge to it. You blink the cold from your eyes... and find yourself in the living room of a rustic lodge. The room is decorated in the trappings of fall — pine cones, dried flowers, garlands of red and yellow leaves. Small candles in glass orbs dangle from the ceiling like drops of light, filling the room with a cozy glow. The floor is completely covered in fur rugs, mounds of soft, chunky blankets, and plush pillows for lounging, and at the far end of the room, a large stone fireplace is crackling cheerfully.]

[One entire side of the room is devoted to an enormous smorgasbord of food and drinks. Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves are covered with bottles of wine and spirits instead of books, and long wooden dining tables are covered in an endless charcuterie filled with autumnal delights. Here you'll find fruits both fresh and dried, scones and cinnamon rolls and breads of all types, nuts and cured meats and candies and so on and so forth. There are steaming pots of hot chocolate and ciders surrounded by a mismatched collection of ceramic mugs.]

[tl;dr, any snack or drink (both alcoholic and non-) your heart desires is probably here somewhere.]

[Oh yeah, and there's also a tall man in a cable-knit sweater, with a few colorful leaves twined in his antlers. He spreads his arms, inviting.]

It's been a while, but I am finally back from my game-running suspen— ...leave of absence! And just in time, too; The seasons are changing, and you have all been so working hard! I think you've all earned a rest, don't you?

So please, come put your feet up, and indulge in food and good company in the coming of fall. And what better way to both get to know each other and to escape our troubles than to get wasted over a game of cards?
