Rise! And shine! And holy fuck what the shit is that.

Rising tall above the skyline of the city is a massive translucent tree, which seemingly has sprouted from the deadzone crater and is bathed in light leading straight up to…Heaven? The hotel alarms are blaring, and the maintenance fairies are for once actually present and visible - despite the fact that there's nothing broken.

They're fluttering about frantically, screaming in panic at each other while doing…whatever they're doing. You can catch snippets of their speech -

"What is that!" "What is happening?" "Where is Madame-Administrator?" "Seal off all exits!" "Prepare for separation!"

Heaven graduates, meanwhile, find that all of them are receiving a message on their phones:

It may not be all of them, but most of the familiar ones suddenly have new colors, and there may even be entirely new strings to complete strangers--not every ship makes sense! [You are yoinked to the game tower as if by a string attached to your hand. When you arrive, it's just the Gametower's normal lobby, except that every surface is covered in smooth colorful strings--lines spreading neatly everywhere and leading off in every direction, including back outside or up into the upper floors.

As characters wander around trying to figure out what's going on, they'll start to notice that there are colorful strings attached to them as well--mainly to their fingers, but maybe their arms, maybe their throats, maybe other places...?? These threads, the same as the strings around the lobby, float around them like gossamer, but can't be cut, and they glint and brighten when someone focuses on them, showing their color... Where does the other end go? If they try to follow them, they'll discover some of these are attached to someone else here, and some just fade off into the distance. Sometimes, when they find a person, the connecting thread will suddenly shorten no matter the color, tying the two body parts--and the two people--together, though it will probably slacken after a while as well.

In the middle of the lobby is a large touchscreen kiosk that reads:]

[If they go up to the screen they'll find they can use a color picker to put in the hex code for the color, and are free to write or dictate whatever meaning they think a color means. The kiosk also displays a couple color information lists that're empty at first but quickly starts filling up. If they check their phones, it'll also have this color/meaning form and a copy of the color lists displayed in the game rules app.]

[...Is that the game? For the moment, there doesn't seem to be anything else to it besides try to figure out who you've been tied to and what that means. Ominous...?]

[ Rise and Shine Imeeji! I hope you like waking up to the dulcet sounds of a Live going off, because if you aren't an early morning person, that's exactly what's happening. ]

[ A section of the park by the lake has been marked off for apparently foot, wing, and fin races. There is also a table with branch/flower crowns, each one engraved with a different title. Fastest on Land', 'Fastest Siren', etc. Two Avante, one dragon-esque and one horse-esque, stand by the winner's table with grins on their faces. ]

[ Rion is the first to call out. ]

Sorry for the early morning call! But we thought it might be nice to have a little fun racing while we're all in different forms. Come by the park and have a few fun races, or just hang out watching them. We have a prize for the winner of each race too.

[ And Astrid follows up. ]

Well, you can watch if you think you’ll just stumble and fall. I guess, but where’s the fun in that? [ Said with the competitive spirit of someone thinking you should never back down from a challenge: ] There’ll be a special obstacle course, if you think you can handle it. And points for for freestyle - so even if you don’t win your race you might just win something.

[When the sun sets in Imeeji, there is an inexplicable fog that seems to role in, and a swarm of bats flutter through the sky as a gentle bell urges you to the game tower. On the way there you may see a stray black cat, or feel a bristle on your neck. SPOOPY.

At the Game Tower, idols will find it decked out in standard halloween-like fair, with yummy finger foods on a classy table for those who get hungry! Careful tho, as it seems like some raw meat samples or blood have been mixed in on the plates or punch bowls.

There are also a bunch of setups that weren't there before--a graveyard, a spooky mansion, a spacious pool, a seemingly endless dark forest, etc. Looks like there's a set up for different 'species,' should one need it.

Finally on a stage, there's a hologram of the Sheep Host. He's dressed like a dapper vampire, and sipping some grape juice.]

Fuufuufuu. . .that time again already. And it looks like we have a new baaa-tch of monsters~

Please, pick a card, and act on it to your heart's content! I wonder, can you tame the beasts inside of you? How scary~

[He keeps it short and sweet, and once everyone arrives and takes a card, the hologram disappears.]

[Today, right in the middle of the hotel lobby, is a large, free-standing arch made of oversized, multicolored seashells. When you look through the arch, instead of seeing the other side of the hotel lobby, you see... a swimming pool? No, many swimming pools. The bright, turquoise waters sparkle invitingly under the perfect late summer sun, beckoning you forward.]

[When you walk through the arch, you find yourself at the water park at Yomiuri Land. Swimming pools, water slides, palm trees, and luxurious pool chairs sprawl out around you in every direction.]

[Nearby, there's a nice, big snack bar under the shade of palm fronds. Here, you can help yourself to non-alcoholic tropical drinks, bubble tea, shave ice, and fresh fruit in abundance. Across the way is what appears to be a souvenir shop full of all sorts of pool toys, floats, beach balls, and squirt guns... truly any manner of fun beach prop your heart might desire.]

[...The one thing you DON'T see at this souvenir shop, however, is swim suits. Instead, there are a couple of colorful changing tents, each with what looks like a gatchapon coin slot in front. When you reach into your pocket, you find a single golden token. The instructions on the machine say that if you put one (1) token in the slot before entering, the tent will replace your clothes with one (1) random swimsuit in your unit color. What will it be? A one-piece? A bikini? Swim trunks? Something that suits you perfectly, or something you'd never be caught dead in? If it's the latter, don't worry — you can always head back to the hotel via seashell arch in the center of the plaza. You just have to walk over there. Oh... it's a bit farther away than you thought at first, huh?]

[Speaking of seashells, there is a rack of free seashell necklaces that you can help yourself to. While wearing one of these necklaces, you will become a mermaid while in water. Hop out of the pool and your weird fish parts will turn back into your regularly-scheduled limbs.]

[At night, the whole park lights up in fantastic rainbow colors. Enjoy it while it lasts, because once the clock strikes midnight, the snack bar and souvenir stand disappear and then necklace turns back into an ordinary trinket. Looks like you get to keep your free swimsuit, though.]

[ Whoosh! Idols are summoned away to the Game Tower once more, or perhaps for the first time. The room they're in looks more like an outdoors stadium, with white chalk lining a very very very large grid—17 by 17 squares.

Dead center is a flag. It looks like the game must be simple—get the flag to win—but . . . who knows what's on every square? ]

[ You awaken to the feeling of cool stone at your back, and a night sky overhead.

All around is a courtyard—a wide circle of marble tile, alternating black and white, interspersed with stone benches and flowerbeds and ornamental trees, all lit by the lambent gleam of strangely vivid starlight.

It is beautiful. And it is decaying. The stone is cracked; the flowers wild and overflowing between the cracked stone; the trees bent and twisted with age, the ground around them littered with fallen fruit. There is a fountain in the center of this space, but it too is broken-down: the water sits stagnant, and nothing remains of the design except a basin and the shattered base of a once-golden sculpture.

—And surrounding it all are not walls, but dense mounds of kudzu, climbing over itself until it towers as high as any watchtower.

How did you get here?
The last thing you vaguely recall is a sudden fit of drowsiness. There’s no sign of any guide or host around, and your powers don’t currently work either. In fact, if you have any corruptions, whether mental or physical, they too are … gone? No, perhaps that's not quite it; you can still feel them—faint, like a phantom limb. Invisible, and unable to affect you.
But there is one notable exception to the rule: all wings, corruption-induced or not, remain in place, as natural as the starlight.

There are other idols around you, all waking up the same way. Is this meant to be some kind of game…? ]

There's booth with free !MOON DRINKS! and mochi snacks (and gamer treats(tm) and gamer fuel(tm)) Also it's just like, full moon night time all day. How did this happen??? ]

I've broken into Tokyo-F to once more grant you all a reprieve from the totally grody nonsense that's been going on for the past however long! Like, zombies? That's the wooooorst!

Anyway, I decided to have a love festival! It's not just romantic love, too! It can be any kind of love you want because, like, all love is totes the ✨greatest✨!

Have fun and remember, don't abandon your friends or family or spouses to do stupid dumb "politics" and to "make money because we live in a society, dear"! Or else you'll like, risk the wrath of Divine Dragon Luna of the Moonlit Kingdom, Goddess of Love and Justice? And that totes sucks for everyone?
