[Ya'll are getting a ring on Dissonance for a voice chat in the private pep!pep! channel!]
HHheeey... uh.. Haruto-san from Wild City's been found and our first revive request is officially in. Doesn't sound like its a gruesome one! [May or may not sound like he's taking this way too lightly.]
Aanyway, I'm not rushing in there ta do anything before I talk ta you guys since I've been meaning ta bring it up anyway... We should probably talk about how we're planning ta handle this kinda stuff. I know we didn't want it ta come without a cost but some of ya weren't too keen on charging friends of the deceased so...
He was dead upon arrival ta his match with SensitIV, apparently. Sounds like he offed himself instead of playing by the producer's rules. Which ya know, sure, understandable. But troublesome.
Kinda a news report, or a community update, ya know? "One person found dead well outside the game tower after a nasty murder game where alleged victim threw their match."
Kinda morbid, but it keeps people from thinking they can hide this kinda stuff too much. Probably not necessary in this case considering the letter drive this morning 'n stuff.
Locked ta just pep!pep! for participation points, so we aren't making anybody else any money off it. Still pretty cheap compensation as far as handing out the miracle of life goes.
Oh man, I knew we needed to talk about revival stuff, but I didn't expect things to happen this soon.
I wonder if it's even fair to charge anyone for this if they didn't get a chance to know price in advance. That's on us for kicking the can down the road...
Frankly speaking, I'm not sure that making a scene is going to shame some people into jack squat. I really doubt that just a PSA, even one at the expense of humiliating someone or raising awareness of the issue, is going to help if they're a jackass. Hell, if they're the kind with poor self worth, being made fun of might just make them more likely to off themselves.
Mm... I feel like if they're the kinda people who feel like they can just kill others, they don't have a lot of remorse in the first place. But if we make people aware of it, everyone else can take measures to protect themselves, right?
[Listening to the ideas and taking them all in... she's not good at coming up with plans for groups like this and doesn't know what to do...]
It doesn't sound like there's one good idea that we could apply universally to every situation, and no matter what we do, we'll be taking on a lot of responsibility and putting ourselves in the spotlight. Ah, this is all so complicated! I'm still a little worried about how people will react if we try to come at them with contracts and PSAs cold like that. From what I've seen of other teams trying to do things like that, there's been a lot of resistance.
Perhaps... We still need to do more research. Talk to the other units as individuals about what sort of things they'd accept?
[ Sunshine is going to be pacing around the dorm similar to what he was doing when they first woke up on their first day. Eventually, he works up enough nerve to pull out his phone and start typing. He'll be sending notifs to each Pep individually. ]
SUNSHINE: sup guys SUNSHINE: if we're done being super badass necromancers, i'd like to call a little team meeting or whatever SUNSHINE: not exactly something i can talk about over the chat SUNSHINE: head back to the dorm, okay?
[ Peps that respond are going to find Sunshine in the main room, pulling up his hair into a tight ponytail with a bit of purple silk ribbon. He'll acknowledge them with a bright but clearly nervous smile. ]
So I... kind of learned something about myself the other day. I didn't know how to really talk about it at the time. But after the last... Anyway, I figured it's probably a good idea to clear the air and, uh, maybe explain some things...
I've finally saved up enough for a dorm upgrade. After a game like that, I think we've earned a little comfort.
I'd like to upgrade our common area first, so we can all have a nice place to chill. Do you guys have any specific things you might like? Apparently we can get pretty ridiculous about it, so don't hold back.
My priority is some windows, comfy seating, and maybe some kind of station for making coffee and tea or stashing snacks. But tell me your hearts desires -- let's see how much we can get away with!

What if we did crowd-limited PSAs, in the future?
Or other ideas! Let's hear 'em.
