It’s not a matter of what I prefer or not, it’s a matter of everyone on this unit and what sides they want to draw. I don’t want to let murderers just get away with it, but I don’t want to drag anyone into anything they don’t feel comfortable being a part of. Someone else getting attacked is a potential consequence of our actions and it’s something we all have to consider if we want or not. A warning is one thing, but when blood could be on our hands... We can’t just ignore public reaction.

I would be fine warning everyone of a murderer to be careful of, but what if the situation is more nuanced than that? What do we do in cases of self defense, or accidents? We need to consider multiple scenarios.
