[Today when you enter the game tower, you find yourself on what appears to be a large stage. The curtain lifts, showing you a packed house -- not with a real audience, though. The seats are full of mannequins wearing dramatic 18th century-style clothing.

Your hologram announcer today is a completely new Host, too! A tall and slender man with long dark hair, dressed equally dramatically to the mannequins including a cape and a masquerade mask, gestures broadly at all of you with sweeping theatrics.]

Welcome, our beloved idols and precious audience, to our latest foray into the twisted hearts of men! I, Grimoire of the Dark Sun Anemone, come to open a window to the chill of cruelty, the passion of loyalty, and the bloody battle between the two! Please witness with your whole black souls the beauty of love and despair!

Is fair even on the table? Could you game by bad game, pass the baton, as it were? Until that is managed, I don't think you'll be satisfied.

Kohime's the problem with every possible plan. I do think Nero is handling her the best he can but it is just taking way too long for her to chill the hell out. Amaranth has the most leverage on her, but she hasn't been around to use it.

Is that truly fair to Nero? He is older, but not by that much.

Perhaps you should ask him when do you believe is enough.

It's not fair, but it's a problem he decided to solve, and it's a problem that needs to be solved. He's not the only one on avante putting in the effort, but he does feel the most responsible when things don't go well.

You're right I should check in with him. Keeping my nose out of things only helps so much.

Brainstorming when not in the heat of a game might help as well. Though you have such strong personalities on Avante, and personalities that wilt as well under pressure.

Of course. That's what makes is extra frustrating. I can't look at Kohime without her accusing me of trying to manipulate her. [they roll their eyes.] Like I'd bother. So all I can do is exert indirect influence.
