Who: Cosmo
Where: Lobby
When: 436
[Cosmo is rocking a look. Minus the plague mask, it's just his normal mask. He's got a set of fruity drinks in front of him, and he's leaning back with a drink in hand.]
"Risk" and "Reward".
Half of these drinks are non-alcoholic, most of the rest are quite potently alcoholic, a few are drugged.
The risk is obvious, the reward is engaging in the live. Or perhaps in avoiding the traps.
The drugs are one of three kinds--a potent psychedelic, a numbing agent, and something to get you a little hot under the collar. Do take it elsewhere if you get that last one.
[He sips his drink.]
Of course some say the best way to win at gambling is not to play, but where's the fun in that?
((OOC: tag any toplevels with the aphro as nsfw and you can have like, multiple if you want. I'll toplevel Lahabrea to talk to but you can also just engage with drugs.))

But I really think you should give me your phone until you're not impulse buying.
[He would ponder force, but with the white knuckle grip on his glass, it might be how he's resisting Touching Caeli.]

[Except he's clicking and he's gonna dive for the phone while DELIVERY is happening.]

[ rye can have the phone now that the purchase has already been made. ]
[ meanwhile caeli is laughing like a hyena. ]
I WILL WRITE MY LOVE IN BOULDERS!

Oh my gods, Caeli, we could have found good rocks!

Look at them! [ throws his arms open to hug the first one. ]
[ peers around the boulders after a moment, ] Mesmerized by these beautiful [ HE HOPES ] specimen?

she does like, a brief doubletake. you know when you logically know that the man that you killed was not actually that man but like a metaphorical representation of a person's relationship with the mans with that face in a dream world,
but like, you still did kill that dude, and other people died in that fight with that dude,
and you like, knew that he technically existed in tokyo-f but you've just been kind of not following that to the end conclusion of "and therefore someday you will probably meet him"
so now you're just like trying to figure out if this is a fever dream because like there are cats carrying rocks? these are big rocks. there's no way there's anyone in tokyo-f who's a fan of rocks like you are. is this a dream? is this about to be a nightmare? ]

well
he asked, so, ]
Oh! Uhm, sorry. I was just really curious about these, especially since they were moving. . . Are these yours?
no subject
Yep! [ he pats one of the boulders. ] I just ordered them from the shop. I need the biggest, bestest, and biggest rock, so I decided to get 'huge' and 'fancy'... [ he tries to move closer, but he trips over his own phone. ]
[ faceplants. ]
[ this is fine. ]
Zhongli Xiansheng loves rocks, so I wanted to get him a rock, but I didn't know what kind of rock to pick, so I ordered a bunch of rocks, so I could... [ man, the word rock sure doesn't sound like a word anymore. ]

[ come to think of it he's the geo archon so that makes sense ]
Well, I think they're all pretty interesting!
[ with a gesture to one of them ]
The strata on this this half indicates the many layers of sedimentary deposition, but then this half—[ more gesturing to the big grey diagonal-cut on the rock ]—means that this rock was at a site of volcanic activity. The deposition built up on top of the once-lava!
no subject
I think so too! though I don't know anything about them, besides what Zhongli Xiansheng has told me, but these rocks don't look anything like the ones back home... [ leans closer. ] I can tell. [ no he can't. ]
I just need help picking one for him, so if you're a rock expert, then who better to help me than you! I can even compensate you for your time and... rock facts!!!
[ scoots closer as she starts dropping facts on him. ] Really! Lava? I wish I could have seen it when it was lava, but... does that make this one special? I mean [ clears his throat. ] extra special!

[ looking to the rock again ]
Well, it's interesting, especially given that it has this shape, but while it's an unconformity, I wouldn't say it's. . . uncommon? This is from a site that once had an active volcano and then became a bank for some body of water to deposit its sediment.

...oh. [ childe deflates IMMEDIATELY. his ears droop and his tail goes limp as he stares at the rock oh. so. disappointed. ]
[ but then he's springing back to life and moving over to another rock to give it a pat. ] How about this one then! It's got to have an interesting story too, right!

This is. . .
Oh, this is a volcanic rock! Judging from the color I'd say it's either basalt or andesite or both—it ffffeels fine-grained. . .
