BiT live

Who: Cosmo
Where: Lobby
When: 436

[Cosmo is rocking a look. Minus the plague mask, it's just his normal mask. He's got a set of fruity drinks in front of him, and he's leaning back with a drink in hand.]

"Risk" and "Reward".

Half of these drinks are non-alcoholic, most of the rest are quite potently alcoholic, a few are drugged.

The risk is obvious, the reward is engaging in the live. Or perhaps in avoiding the traps.

The drugs are one of three kinds--a potent psychedelic, a numbing agent, and something to get you a little hot under the collar. Do take it elsewhere if you get that last one.

[He sips his drink.]

Of course some say the best way to win at gambling is not to play, but where's the fun in that?

((OOC: tag any toplevels with the aphro as nsfw and you can have like, multiple if you want. I'll toplevel Lahabrea to talk to but you can also just engage with drugs.))

[ shrinks back just a little, like, woah dude ]

W-well, it is a mineral. . . To be specific though, it isn't sodium chloride, which is what we use for seasoning. It's potassium chloride, which has a bitter aftertaste—but it's very similar to sodium chloride in that they're both created via the process of evaporation.

...so I can't even grind it up to sprinkle on my fries? [ 😔 the disappointment is PALPABLE. ]

What about the last one? Is it a pepper rock or something?

You technically could, but I'm not sure it would be, uhm, great, the coloring here suggests that this sylvite has a lot of inclusions. . .

. . . It's oddly spherical, but it isn't perfectly so—and it's not sanded down or anything, so this is its natural shape. . .

[ startles a little but also we're talking about rocks ]

—Uh-huh! They can either be from volcanos or sediment, but since this is round, I think it's probably from sediment. They're crystals that grow inside of a cavity of rock—but it's rare to see one that's this big! You could fit a person's worth of crystals in a rock of this size!

It is! and that's why I should crack it open, so I can give him a human's worth of gems, like you said.

[ ]

Or... should I let him do the... Xiansheng! Yes! Were your rock senses tingling? [ oh, he heard his name, that's... basically the same thing! ] I bought this for you and Felicity helped me pick out the best of the bunch!

Oh.

That is very kind of both of you. I see that you have gathered quite the collection of specimens to choose from.

Oh no, Mister Caeli was the one who collected them for you! I just happened to be passing by.

Uhm, he said you were a rock enthusiast. . . Is it right to assume you have an interest in geology?

I do. You could say that it was a hobby of mine.

Are you similarly interested in the field, Felicity?

I did. I bought a bunch of rocks and she helped me to pick out a suitable one to gift to you. I wanted to choose the best rock for the best married. [ drapes himself over zhongli, because he's still drunk among other things. ] Do you like it? She said it's a geode and that's special, because it has crystals inside, but... if you like salt I have a salt rock and something about fast moving lava.

I am! I'm real happy with it. Maybe I can even use some of the gems inside to make him jewelry. [ going to scoop her up into his arms. ] If you'd like one of the other rocks, then you're welcome to it. Did you have a favorite? Was it the salt rock? It was the salt rock, wasn't it?
