Pretty Pretty Princess: Redux
Who: Those Who Play Games
Where: The Game Tower
When: Day 300
[ Today you step out of the elevators and into the game room to find yourselves in an airy Grand Ballroom. Maybe, if you've been here long enough--you might recognize this room?
At the front of the room is a buffet table featuring finger sandwiches, petit fours, and savory pastries as well as a variety of small desserts complemented by bottoms-up turned teacups and steaming hot kettles set up for self-serve. From nowhere to be seen comes the sound of instruments playing. Up above, tethered to the ceiling, are what appear to be long curtains. …
The small, square tables feature place cards that as of yet are mysteriously empty, but other than that--there is nothing on the table. Those who have walked in and might prefer to walk out again will find they are mysteriously barred from exiting…. ]

Oh-- n-no, it's...
[She'd experienced it only once-- during the monster bingo game. But it hadn't been unpleasant. It's a little more embarrassing though, thinking about it being with someone she likes. Which is probably just her own mind being strange.]
I don't mind if... I mean, you don't have to avoid it with me. And if you want to, you can...

Mm. Maybe not here, though.
[She kisses her once more, brief and not quite so passionate as it had been moments ago. She was holding back a bit, knowing she would need to cool her head.]

We can go somewhere else, if that's better.

[She was excited too and it felt like her blood was pounding in her ears. She hadn't drank from someone since her parents had disappeared-]
Ah, but- I don't- I don't know if I'd be taking advantage. Some things happened this morning that I'm still processing...
[She frowns, trying to think of how to explain. The last thing she wanted to do was use her to channel her grief into- the idea of calling it 'lust' made her cheeks flush for a moment.]
My parents were transferred off of Taisho this morning. They're most likely on another program, but I don't know when they'll be back. As much as I want to drink your blood... and kiss you more... I feel like I would just be taking advantage of things because of how I've been feeling today.

[She wanted this. Even so, to hear Ren's worries, Serenity understands. What she's been through recently was no small thing. It was only natural that she had her doubts.
Serenity too wouldn't want this to be something that the other girl might come to regret because it happened in a spur of the moment.]
Oh... right. I... saw Kaguya was no longer here. I didn't realize your father also-- oh Ren. I'm so sorry...
[Instead, she's just going to hug her tight.]
It's okay... it doesn't have to be now. I can stay and we can just talk or-- I can give you some time to yourself. Whatever you need. And... when you're ready... the offer will be there-- if you still want to.

[She would like to actually be happy for a minute. Being sad and miserable is not her natural state of being. Still, despite knowing that maybe her emotions aren't completely in the best place, she doesn't want to let her go.]
What should we talk about?
[Absently, her fingers run through Serenity's hair. This was better than thinking about her parents. It was better than worrying about what the next few days would be like. She had people who cared about her. It would be fine.]

[Serenity relaxes, thinking for a moment, before--]
What sort of things do you like? Hobbies, food... anything you feel like talking about.

I think we already established what food I like most. But I like guns. Not the most girly thing ever, but I like them. They make me feel close to my father because he had to use weapons in his line of work back home.
