[ Today you step out of the elevators and into the game room to find yourselves in an airy Grand Ballroom. Maybe, if you've been here long enough--you might recognize this room?

At the front of the room is a buffet table featuring finger sandwiches, petit fours, and savory pastries as well as a variety of small desserts complemented by bottoms-up turned teacups and steaming hot kettles set up for self-serve. From nowhere to be seen comes the sound of instruments playing. Up above, tethered to the ceiling, are what appear to be long curtains. …

The small, square tables feature place cards that as of yet are mysteriously empty, but other than that--there is nothing on the table. Those who have walked in and might prefer to walk out again will find they are mysteriously barred from exiting…. ]

[ so... she's no wordsmith. she's tried to put her feelings to words, like, half a dozen times and she generally just stumbles through just barely making sense of things, so she resorts to things like this: reaching for lily's cheek she guides her in for another kiss. her free hand drops to her hip as she gives a subtle tug, wanting ( needing ) her closer. she tilts her head, angling it a bit differently, so she can deepen it the moment their lips meet. ]

[Lily moves closer at the slightest urging, needing no more than that, or even needing it to want to be close to d.va, such a wonderful woman. She kisses her back with deep fierceness, lips working eagerly against hers as her fingers slide into her hair]

[ she kisses her until her head has ascended straight into the clouds and her lungs feel like they might burn a hole through her chest. breaking the kiss she sets her forehead against lily's and shuts her eyes, taking a few uneven breaths of air. ] I don't know how you do it, but every time, Lily, your words work their way straight into my heart... they're always so beautiful... a reflection of you, of course. [ she gives her another kiss, though this one is chaste. ]

[Lily leans down to rest her forehead against hers, holding D.va's face like she is a precious gem because she is.]

It's good of you to notice that I am, of course, beautiful, but no, they are a reflection of you. How wonderful you are. Words have power and yet I cannot help but wonder if mine can truly take your measure.

I, of course, think you're beautiful, [ she strokes her cheek. ] but I also meant that you have such a way with words. Like, you can string them together to form such beautiful sentiments that I can't help but immediately be charmed. It's incredible. [ tips head head back to kiss her once more. ] And I think you do just fine, Lily. My heart swells with so many feelings whenever you sing such incredible words of poetic praise.

...not just sometimes. [ brushes a strand of stray hair behind her ear and tucks it there, smiling. ] And thank you, Lily, that's... really sweet of you. It's nice to hear that, because sometimes I'm... not sure, especially when I'm so thoroughly corrupted. [ shakes her head. ]

I don't know what it's like to be corrupted, to be changed without your say and all that entails. [she brushes her knuckles against her cheek]

[ she swallows and, for a second, she closes her eyes. ] It sucks, because it’s definitely be one thing if, like, it’s something I had asked for, and while I’ve gotten used to a number of them... [ she just smiles. ] I’m glad you don’t mind them, because that means, it just really means a lot. [ she turns her head and kisses her knuckles. ] ...this is me until things change, and who knows, y’know, so at least somebody likes it for what it is.

I wouldn't begrudge anyone who flat out hated their corruptions all the time, but you've only made them work for you. It's very cute.

[ JUST SLAY HER WHY DON'T YOU. ] I don't blame them either. I definitely have gotten use to them and I [ sort of just... shrugs. ] kind of feel like this is, like, the new me? As much as I probably wouldn't have minded going back early on... I don't know now. Obviously I'd like to be in full control of everything. [ re; the tentacles. ] but... is that silly?

It's not silly at all, spitfire. Objectively, I can understand that completely, even if I also think it's cute when they show up unexpectedly. Like your horniness has hit critical mass and they just need to be free.

I... guess it's silly to think I could ever be in control of that, but I *would* like to be able to control them. But, ah, that's it in a nutshell.
