then she flushes and laughs, covering her mouth, her tail picking up speed. ]

[ but she moves in close, into position, an arm around glory's waist; whatever muscle memory she has seems to be familiar with this sort of thing. ]

Though I'm not sure this is what they mean by a "mating dance."

Glory is probably less familiar with it, overall, but she's done enough dancing in imeeji by now that she leads her confidently into some steps, keeping her body close]

[ she lets glory lead well enough, leaned into her warmth; she subtly picks up where glory falters to correct course without the action being too jarring or out of place. just a corrected step here or a gentle urge to turn there, that sort of thing.

her tail's slowed some by now, but it's the subdued wagging of a contented dog and not one overly excited. ]

[after a while of fairly normal dancing, Glory adds a few extra moves—a spin, a lift—cheating with Verticality so that Cypress rises from the ground weightlessly.]

We are getting to know each other, but we haven't done much, yet. That means there's a lot you don't know about me that you might not like, and not any particular reason I can see to want to make a good impression.

I don't see why I need to have a-- specific reason, to think someone is nice at first glance. That's what a first impression is. Things change over time-- if you need to wait until then to make a first impression, why bother at all?

You're the one who said we should get to know each other in the first place, besides; usually that sort of offer means you actually want to try befriending someone.

I said we should get to know each other, and that means we should get to know each other. Depending on what we learn, we may not be friends. I don't get along with most people.
