[As everyone is finally starting to get their bearings with the strings and what they mean, and maybe learning a little about what they do, the kiosk and their phones will sound with a new alert.]

[With a twang, those who are participating in the game will find that their strings have been scrambled. It may not be all of them, but most of the familiar ones suddenly have new colors, and there may even be entirely new strings to complete strangers--not every ship makes sense! Time to work out these new relationships and show people what that's all about to have a shot at fixing it.]

Oh... it's a habit. I can leave them here unless you're up for a spar or something after lunch. [ Yes she considers sparring to be date material what of it ]

You don't need to leave them. I just wanted to make sure no one's been giving you any trouble.

Only trouble I've asked for. [ She means in the "fight me because it's fun" sense rather than in the "I did something dumb" sense ]

Out of curiosity, what were you going to do if someone was giving me trouble?

Ah... well, I'd have to teach them a lesson, obviously. Not that you can't take care of yourself--but it's the principle of the thing.

I'd bet that between us we'd be a force to be reckoned with, even if we didn't use any unit abilities.

Do you normally fight with your hands or magic or something like that? [ Since she doesn't carry a weapon that Aliza's seen. ]

A sword and magic, from what I've seen so far.

If you want to, we should train together sometimes. We don't have that many games where we get to keep weapons, but now and then it happens.

[ Her tone is very "it'll be fun!" ]

That would be fun. I've been meaning to ask if you'd like to. I don't want to get rusty.

[ Looping her arm through Lumine's ]

Of course, I'd love to. And when I get my room upgrade we won't even have to leave the dorm.

Oh? What did you request for your room upgrade?

It's going to be a volcanic island. A black sane beach with a hot springs inside the volcano, with a jungle covering the rest of the place. There's a hunting game where monsters get released into the room for training and it keeps your score.

I can also be locked in there when I need to be and it won't make me feel confined. So no more needing to restrain me.

I don't think that's something you should thank me for. You were so miserable... I'm lucky you're even willing to talk to me after everything you went through.

Of course it's something to thank you for. You didn't let me hurt myself or anyone else. You kept me calm while Venti worked on me.

I may have been too in my grief to see it at the time, but don't think I didn't notice that you did more for me than anyone else.

You hated being locked in that room, though--for good reason. No one should be a prisoner in their own home. I wish I'd thought of something kinder.... but I guess at least we'll have your upgrade in the future to prevent any problems.

[ Aliza does a half turn so she's walking backwards, making it easier to look at Lumine. ]

Hey. I'd be a lot less well off if you hadn't done that. Better to hate how I spend 5 days than to hate myself forever. But I'm here, I'm fine. And you won't have to do it again.

Don't be sorry. If that's really how you feel, then I'm glad to know.

[ reaching with her free hand to squeeze Aliza's ]

I don't want you to hate yourself, either. Whatever helps to make you happiest, at the end of the day--that's what I want to support.

I'm lucky to have your support. And I'm pretty happy right now, if that helps any. [ Squeezing Lumine's hand, comforting ]

[ Well in that case

she will do Aliza one better and lean right in and initiate it herself. ]

[ Well then. Can't argue with results. ]

[ Aliza might be tentative and anxious about a lot of things, but she has zero hangups about kissing. (At least for her, this won't be weird later.) Her kiss is sweet and responsive, lingering as long as Lumine cares to. ]

[ It might be a little strange for Lumine later--but not bad. She'll kiss her for a little bit--but not too long. ]

C'mon. We can kiss more later; we still haven't made it to our picnic spot.

Trying to choose between food and kissing is the definition of a win-win situation.

[ When they get there!! She's going to go ahead and spready out the blanket and start setting up all of the plates and food and the drinks. ]
