[ it does take him by surprise but the motion, the charge of Shirou running at him like that activates the same rush of adrenaline he had in the middle of that memory -- he dodges to the side of the "ice pick", just a little lean out of what would be the imaginary weapon's path, grabbing for Shirou's wrist with his left hand and the back of his arm with the other.

he twists on his heel with his grip on his arm and tries to throw him forward over his shoulder, so Shirou will land on his back Majima still gripping onto his arm. ]

[ the strangest part of this to him is that he can see it - the movement is clear to him as day. he nearly wants to move away from majima's reach, but his brain is too quick and his body is too slow from the lack of use, and before he can do anything about it he's flipped. there's a moment or two of stunned silence, as he looks up to the sky. ]

[ then, he laughs - startled more than anything but he can feel his heart in his throat and pounding in his ears and it's not unpleasant, honestly ]

A - ahaha! Ahaha, that was unexpectedly - really fun!

[ he can't help but smile a little fondly, at that, leaning down a bit further to try to help tug Shirou back up. ]

Yeah? Don't think the guy in my memory was too happy bein' thrown.

I'm sorry, is it strange to enjoy it?

[ taking his help to hop back up, hair mussed up with grass bits sticking out now ]

But my heart is still racing! Perhaps he was too inebriated to savor the feeling?

Too inebriated, and too mad, prolly.

He should have been a bit more kind, then.

[ with a pause ]

One more time? Or should I try this time?

Give it a try on me and I'll see how ya do.

[ he steps back a few feet now, giving himself room to charge ]

[ hm

Hmmmmm, mimicking his stance ]

I should . . . Grab you by the arm, right - ? And then. . .

[ muttering to himself more than anything :|aaa ]

Yeah. Grab me by the arm --

[ mimes the gesture ]

And flip me.

Very well, then! Please, when you're ready!

[ he charges forward then, aiming for a "stab" with an imaginary icepick, one arm shooting forward ]

[ he manages to grab his arm - but it isn't a firm enough grip in the right area. he's already noticed this, though, moving in with his other arm to grab majima by the shoulder, pinching his clothes so he can throw him over - it's a rough move with a surprising amount of strength for his size, only muscle memory keeps him from messing up entirely when he flips him over ]

Woah --

[ he's more taken surprise by that, even, and he's not braced for the amount of strength Shirou can output. he's tossed to the ground with a whuff of air, plainly surprised. ]

[ giving a heavy exhale, drawing up for a moment before dropping onto his knees, panicked ]

Oni-san - was that too hard!? I'm sorry, are you alright!?

[grandschemed]

Nah, that was pretty damn good.

[ he still sounds off guard but he's definitely excited, starting to push himself back up ]

I didn't do it right, though . . .

[ watching him, wary of injury ]

Ya got me down either way, right?

Mm, that is true. . .

[ standing up, finally, still looking him over but ]

It was alright, then?

[ nods ]

. . . As hard as I can - ? Really? Is that alright?

'Course. I just wanna see how strong ya are.

[ draws back then, finding . . . a position. hm.

it's clear that he's learned some sort of martial art at least because the position he finds to be comfortable and right has his side facing oni in a wide stance, one hand up in a loose fist with the other in front of his torso ]
