[ he steps back a few feet now, giving himself room to charge ]

Hmmmmm, mimicking his stance ]

I should . . . Grab you by the arm, right - ? And then. . .

[ muttering to himself more than anything :|aaa ]

[ mimes the gesture ]

And flip me.

Very well, then! Please, when you're ready!

Alright --

[ he charges forward then, aiming for a "stab" with an imaginary icepick, one arm shooting forward ]

[sancrimony]

[ he manages to grab his arm - but it isn't a firm enough grip in the right area. he's already noticed this, though, moving in with his other arm to grab majima by the shoulder, pinching his clothes so he can throw him over - it's a rough move with a surprising amount of strength for his size, only muscle memory keeps him from messing up entirely when he flips him over ]

Woah --

[ he's more taken surprise by that, even, and he's not braced for the amount of strength Shirou can output. he's tossed to the ground with a whuff of air, plainly surprised. ]

[ giving a heavy exhale, drawing up for a moment before dropping onto his knees, panicked ]

Oni-san - was that too hard!? I'm sorry, are you alright!?

[grandschemed]

Nah, that was pretty damn good.

[ he still sounds off guard but he's definitely excited, starting to push himself back up ]

I didn't do it right, though . . .

[ watching him, wary of injury ]

Ya got me down either way, right?

Mm, that is true. . .

[ standing up, finally, still looking him over but ]

It was alright, then?

[grandschemed]

[ nods ]

Can you just give somethin' a try fer me?




I want you to hit me as hard as you can.

. . . As hard as I can - ? Really? Is that alright?

[grandschemed]

'Course. I just wanna see how strong ya are.

. . . Where should I be hitting you?

Just aim for the chest.

[ draws back then, finding . . . a position. hm.

it's clear that he's learned some sort of martial art at least because the position he finds to be comfortable and right has his side facing oni in a wide stance, one hand up in a loose fist with the other in front of his torso ]

. . . Then, when you're ready.

[grandschemed]

Yeah. Come at me.

[ he stands with his legs braced a bit wider apart, taking a breath in and curling his finger to encourage Shirou to strike. ]

[ taking a moment or so, taking a step back again before - he moves forward with an upward hooking fist, square in his chest. it's not his strongest - he doesn't remember enough to know where his strength is or how to direct it properly, especially without remembering the footwork involved and being too self-conscious - and fortunately he doesn't have Servant strength anymore, but it's still pretty fuckin hard. more than that, it's fast - even without remembering the footwork, he's pretty agile in his movement, quickly drawing back without letting his fist linger - instinctively, don't let the enemy get a chance to strike back. ]

[grandschemed]

[ it's not in a place where it would wind him and Majima is pretty sturdy despite his slim frame but it's still enough to make him take a step back, hold his hand up to his chest with a sharp breath out ]

-- damn. Ya musta been one hell of a fighter.

[sancrimony]

[ not quite relaxed, watching his reaction ]

. . . I had suspected that might be the case, but even though I don't remember anything, my body can remember this much, it seems. . .

With all the scars on ya it starts to make sense.

[sancrimony]

. . . Ah, you did notice them.

[ somewhat unhappily, but he smiles ]

I wonder what sort of life I led before . . . ? No matter how I think of it, I can't imagine it was a happy one. Still, I wonder if I enjoyed fighting back then?

[ with a pause, before he speaks again to switch subjects: ]

Sorry, Oni-san. Even though you told me to use all of my strength, I didn't manage to do that, either. What should we do now?
