Mostly no. I think Cardinal totally wishes they could, but Avante is pretty good at making the moves we need to at least try and survive.

I believe our biggest complication is the fact that there are people on a number of different units that we do not wish to hit.

But we know that not hitting others in a game isn't always an option.

The units I prefer to avoid are sensitIV, Taisho, and BARiTONES.

My close unitmates from home are on Taisho and SensitIV. We are all from within the same unit called Knights where I come from.

on BARiTONES, Tenshouin-oniisama is there. We are close friends [ He assumes this since he calls him older brother back home apparently- ] and our families are business associates.

They are more than just singing friends. But yes. As idols that is our job. I imagine that was why King forced me to Taisho in an effort to make me part of the unit.

. . . A-As for Tenshouin-oniisama, just because he never said anything about me before... doesn't mean anything. He has offered me genuine help and advice, and was the one to first inform me of our relationship and even my name.

Whoever told you that is lying. We don't have a formal alliance with anyone. There's just teams people want to avoid –– Cardinal's the one that usually insists on avoiding BARiTONES. I have no idea where we rank with them any more, but I doubt we're their first priority by a long shot.

I don't know. He seemed fairly earnest when he said they refuse to hit us due to an alliance...

But it's worrisome if one side believes one exists and then I'm hearing that there isn't one to begin with. [Hmm ]

Who is it there that Cardinal-san wishes to protect?

We don't have one. No one ever has a "formal alliance" because the whole unit can never actually agree on it. I've been around when people tried, more than once. It always just ends up as some vague "we try to avoid them" thing.

And if you want to know about Cardinal, ask Cardinal.

Since we have so many people we want to protect, I imagine that is the case.

I know we are on the same unit, but I haven't gotten to know Cardinal-san much yet. I'll ask her.

Did you two have a disagreement that led to your indifference to one another?

It is a shame for us unitmates not to get along. I know that I am new, but I have been hoping that we all might come to see one another as family while here.

Not really. They were like that from the start. I mean –– we argued later, but it was like that before that.

They think they're better than everyone else, and they get to decide who actually has worth. And to have worth, you have to be totally cool with them sacrificing you or anyone you care about for their precious "ideals", and some other criteria they've never bothered sharing. I heard about some of it. . . before they added LiliS and BARiTONES as units, apparently everyone hated Avante because Cardinal decided how they wanted to play was the "right" way to play, and everyone else should have to follow it. They used to sacrifice Avante, or teams they cared about –– Gold still has some hangup about not protecting his brother on Wild City over it, and there's something with Nemesis no one's ever filled me in on except she thinks her opinions don't count or whatever.

I'm not chasing after acceptance from someone like that. I've had enough of being just something someone can use to get what they want, or being expected to prove that I have value.

So, like, if you get on with them, good for you. But I'm not interested.

I am sorry you have had that experience. As well as Gold-kun and Nemesis-san. I won't press further on a subject that is likely unpleasant for you.

I am sure that we may all come to disagree at times on various matters. The important thing is still respecting one another. I am not sure that we will always be able to find a solution that satisfies all. But ideally, like the knights of the round table, I would personally prefer a wholesome environment where we can raise one another up with mutual respect.

The Round Table is based off of the legendary Round Table of King Arthur. It was a place where noble knights gathered together as equals for the good of one another and the kingdom.

No, no. That was just the place they gathered-- their meeting and strategy location. Rather than just one person sitting at the head, everyone faced one another nobly and as equals.

Perhaps it is because of this that they were known as 'The Knights of the Round Table.

The shape is mostly irrelevant.
