So, everything is as terrible as feared.

The torture games are real, but not constant. Someone told me there was one where everyone got filled with vengeful ghosts, but some are fine apparently. The guy who told me this said he wasn’t okay when I asked.

People have... have died in those games. And then they were brought back. I think we can learn to do that? But only us seven.

We’re here because heaven and hell are betting over our souls, but heaven doesn’t pay much attention to our progress.

We can leave if we ‘graduate’, but nobody knows what those conditions are. We can accept heaven’s offer to go home, or hell’s offer for a wish which will leave us trapped here and joining the souls of the damned.

The souls of the damned are the audience and they’re watching us all the time, they used to be idols like us, and they send letters like this occasionally.

Um, I learned some stuff about points and lives but it’s all stuff for staying here long term. Everyone else has been trapped here for a month.

If they have a mechanic in place for sending us home, there has to be a way we can find it for ourselves. Right?

That, or if we go far enough, we're bound to find where this place ends and the rest of wherever we are begins.

If we’re going on a trip like that we should bring provisions, the map of this place is big.

... Is what he'd like to say. There is a very large--a surprisingly large?--amount of him that is full of that dark cynicism. It's a little disturbing, even to him. Maybe especially to him, having just woken up.

I really doubt these folks are going to be happy to just hand over all their food and drink to us, though.

Someone told me a portion of it would be for us. We get rations from our kidnappers.
