What? No.

Shame, then. You'd be a good one.

[ seems. uneasy. ]

No-- no, I don't think so.

Being able to spot someone who's a little off in a crowd of apparent-people? It's an asset. So I have to wonder a little bit what you developed it for.

... well, I'm an artist.
widenessofthesea: (then I will no longer)

.............I see.

What kind of art?

[personal profile] vitainmorte 2020-10-27 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
I paint still life, mostly. Acrylics.

[ are you fucking kidding her. ]

Ah. Well, I imagine that attention to detail serves you well, there, too.

I do like to think it's one of the few things I'm truly good at.

Maybe sometime I'll see some of your work, then.

I could-- show you my sketchbook, if you wanted...? I don't generally paint outside of my room, right now.

Ah, well, I wouldn't turn it down, if you're offering.

Re: hope

Sure.

[ takes her book out of her bag and hands it over.

It's almost full, by this point; the pages are mostly crowded with sketches and pen work and the rare dabs of watercolor. lots of figure studies, faces, hands, mostly with only scant details but some recognizable as people in imeeji. many more items, these paid more attention; flowers, benches, signs, particularly detailed portions of buildings, various perspectives of a rifle. a shockingly detailed sketch of a motorcycle with a little sad face like :'( scribbled next to it.

and things particularly inhuman, here and there; the imps from before (not that hope would recognize them), a page dedicated to sashay(mostly the movement of ears and tail, more than their actual face or body), a few quick sketches even of notable monster extremities from bingo; scales, wings, horns, that sort of thing. ]

Ah, you really are skilled...

[ god everyone's really into sashay, huh

...that's valid. ]

You do seem to find the things that stand out.

Thank you...

[ mood. ]

Really—you draw figures quite well, too. Good sense of movement...

I mean, I don't think I'm much of an artist, so my opinion is really more of a layman's, but still.

Well, I'm glad to be able to give my thoughts, then. Isn't there a museum here that takes submissions?
