[ The potential significance of the parasol doesn't occur to her in the moment—so she's already sweeping them up in her arms, clawed fingers dragging just a bit against the fabric of their shirt. ]

It took me much too long to find you, didn't it? I'll have to make up for lost time.

[Cardinal's got the parasol; their hand snatches the handle—A sword hilt—and swings it up.]

We do have a lot to do.

[ She settles a hand at their waist to tug them in close. ]

...You're cool to the touch. Are our roles reversed this time?

[Being cool makes the touch especially pleasant, and Cardinal lounges contentedly in her grip.]

Yeah, a lot of the things we have to do involve sucking your blood.

[ teasing ] Well, I've heard nothing but good things about it from you.

And you know, this time it's meant to be my turn to declare you my mate, and here I am without any poetry prepared.

That's alright, it's still my turn for poetry writing.
