I took a potion. I asked B for a small supply of them, actually, and I figured if I'm spending a few days at Baritones I wouldn't have minded showing this to everyone as well.

It's good to see your wings outside of a dream.

Hmmmm. You know I adore any form of yours, but I do wonder if you are setting yourself up for mild disappoint when you look in the mirror in a couple of days.

[He leans his head on his shoulder mostly to look at his card.]

But you will manage. Of that I have no doubts. Do you need assistance?

[ There's a little laugh at that, though it sounds bitter. He still steps close to him and brings his arms around his neck, kissing his cheek without even bothering to check if there are people around, this time ]

Oh, I definitely am. It will feel worse for a little while once the effect wears off. But it's the best I have for now, and I'll take it. I'll be fine.

[ a pause at the question though, and he looks maybe a little embarrassed ]

I have somehow managed to clear far more of these than I thought I would. I do still miss a few, though.

Listen to a heartbeat, Kiss another vampire, perform a taboo act, get make up done, drain a victim to sleep, stalk someone undetected, admit a regret to someone, and drink blood and wine together with someone.

We all need to indulge every once in a while. And there are worse vices.

[He holds him back loosely around the waist.]

I can do all but assisting with what requires another vampire. But we can do a few of these, if you like. I would need a makeup kit, but I could make you look fabulous. I also don't mind sharing or giving blood.

As if you wouldn't jump to the chance to sleep some more. Isn't that why you're willing to help?

[ he's going to hold out his card to him, so he can see the ones he has done so far ]

I'm willing to help you with any of yours as well. Obviously.

[He does glance at the card.]

I am not truly playing as I left my card... somewhere. It would seem the corners bereft of sleeping would get you the most points. I'll have wine and you'll have blood. Unless you have the equipment to extract blood from yourself. I could bite you, but it would be messy.

But we are doing this in style.

[He picks him up and uses his wings to get airborne.]

[ He knew Hades would likely not be bothered by the fact he's done several that required kissing with someone else, but knowing it is one thing, actually seeing it is another, and he's relieved despite the fact they did more or less talk about that possibility before. ]

I have claws I can use to cut my skin and let you drink blood, if you're interested in that.

[Five. That nativity is cute.]

Depends. Do you think you will enjoy it?

[If they are going to wine and dine on blood, they are going to do it in style. So he's taking them to restaurant row. Hope the staff doesn't mind BYOB (bring your own blood).]

[ Look he's not saying anything clearly it means it's fine right. clearly. ]

Well, it is you. So obviously I would.

It is almost as if you enjoy my presence.

[He finds the least populated restaurant that is somewhat fancy and takes them in. He pulls down four wine glasses from the bar and hands a bottle of wine for Five to hold as they pick a booth. He could turn water into wine, but he likes the idea of a bottle.

Hades is about to sit on the same side when something occurs to him.]

Would you mind waiting. I just thought of something. I will be back shortly.

[Give him about 10 minutes.]

[ It does feel a lot more fancy, and admittedly there's something special in its own right about going to a restaurant with Hades, so he won't hear any complaints from him. ]

First you bring me to a romantic spot, then you ditch me? You're awful.

[ but he says it with a smile and of course he'll wait for him ]

The word you are looking for is spontaneous.

[He does return with a bouquet of heliotropes. Thank you basement garden. To which he does drop to a knee and offer them to him.]

Your homework for later.

[ Hades dropping to a knee for him is already a critical hit in and of itself but of course he has to give him flowers. And he doesn't need homework, because he's already knowledgeable enough on the subject.

His face is of course turning red ]

... These are lovely. Thank you.

I am fond of the color.

[Is he talking about Five's face or the flowers? He does sit next to him letting his wings rest partially in the booth behind. And Hades wraps an arm around his shoulders, tugging Five to rest his head against his chest. Heartbeats were on his card after all.]

[ Five's own is definitely getting accelerated, and he's honestly having a difficult time with how many things he's feeling at once. As usual it's easy to get overwhelmed by how happy he is, how much he appreciates the gesture, how much he loves him.

So he's quiet for a few more moments, face still flushed as he rests his head against his chest, and eventually— ]

It is your victory today.

[He pets his back and can't help but smile. Just holding him there.]

Good. I do like to win every once in a while.

[ There's the immediate thought that he wants to drink his blood, now and there, despite the fact he said just earlier to save that for last if he's going to drain him to sleep. But he tries to suppress it, and instead simply snuggles against him ]

Only because I wasn't expecting it, don't get cocky. I still have the advantage.

Oh, I am fully aware I'm exploiting a new fondness and I have no qualms about it.

And that wasn't the only thing I purchased.

[He holds up a cosmetic kit.]

Would you like a blood and wine cocktail first or to look quite radiant?

[ There's a smile at that, and he looks like he's genuinely having fun. He pulls back so Emet can actually have enough space to work on him— ]

Admittedly I cannot wait to drink your blood, and part of me wants to do nothing more than just that.

But if I am taking a page from your book and going for the dramatics, then I should look radiant while doing that, mm?

I do enjoy it when you bite, so I suppose I'm looking forward to it as well.

[He tilts his head up as though examining before he gets to work. And he won't do anything super fancy: foundation, eye liner, and maybe a hint of blush for his own personal preference. But no bright eye shadow or lip color --- though the later is mostly because he knows it will spoil since he's going to be drinking blood.

In other words he at least leaves it tasteful and shows him with a mirror phone app when he's done.]

[ He's not surprised Emet leaves it tasteful - this isn't something he ever thought he'd do and he's not terribly interested in it, but he had no doubt it would be fine with him. It is a little weird to see still, admittedly, but not in a way that leaves him feeling ridiculous ]

Why am I not surprised you have a talent for this?

A well crafted appearance is sometimes the tipping point between convincing someone and not. Just another tool to be used.

[He then uncorks the wine bottle and pours out too glasses.]

Though I don't have the skill to paint more than simple color over your eyes. Others are more talented and probably could turn them into peacock feathers. Though I do have to be thankful for you showing me how to wear these contacts. Imagine what colors I would have gotten without them.

I would have appreciated the attempt anyway.

[ and as a thank you he will place a kiss to his lips, lingering for a few moments before he reaches for the wine glass ]

I had expected at least a comment regarding my card.

[He let's one hand run down his inner thigh.]

Though truthfully I am more surprised you did these act than anything. 'Double team feeding' for example. I'm almost disappointed I missed the blush you must have had on your face.

What spurred this sense of adventure?

That one was far less adventurous than you are imagining, we double teamed a glass of blood using straws.

[ There's a little hum at that touch, and he's clearly enjoying it, resting against him as he sips on the wine, setting it aside after so he can place his lips on Emet's neck, kissing for now ]

The more adventurous ones had been with Cardinal. I drew a heart on their skin thinking it'd be a easy enough task, and I didn't think of the effect seeing blood would have had on me. Of course it wasn't just that. But I was surprised too.

And I did wonder if it would have bothered you.
