I’m not going anywhere, Raven. [ she just gazed out over the edge of the building. ] Do keep it in mind if things get to be too much. I can take a lot. And I’d absolutely take more for you.

I know. This is... different. No one... should ever have to feel that.

Not even you. [ moves her tail around him. ] I'm sorry you have to endure all that.

"The heart is a tumor of weakness"... perhaps that's why... he wanted to rid himself of it.

...his mind had been poisoned with all sorts of terrible thoughts. But don't think for a second that the heart is weak. It's not. It's a thing of strength. [ she reaches out for his hand, dragging it toward her chest, so he can feel the subtle and rhythmic beating of her heart. ] I know you call me your sword and your shield, but you do more for me than you realize.

[his fingers curl in her shirt a little, not saying anything]

How...? I don't... understand.

[420blazeit]

...silly bird. [ she kisses his nose. ] I had a purpose back home. I fought for the safety of my country and its people. Here, I might fight for my unit, my friends, my lover, but most importantly... you. I mentioned it [ she swallows and averts her gaze a bit because reasons!!! ] during that game, but... you fill my heart with an excess of love and I want nothing more for you to be safe, happy, and healthy. And until we reach the end together I know I have reason to keep on going...

... you're so... full of love, even after everything you've been through.

[ she cups the cheek furthest from her. ] I can keep the darkness at bay with the light of your love. [ she gives him a kiss. ]

[he leans into it, though barely kissing back]

... that almost sounds like poetry.

[ her cheeks color as she looks down in her lap. ] ah, T- Thanks. I've been trying to read a lot more poetry lately. I- I'm, uhm, n- nothing like you, of course, but I thought it'd be nice to have something to talk about together. And maybe one day I could write a poem about you.

You've said that before... but I really... don't think I'm worthy.

[also he'd die]

[ she just smushes a hand straight into his face. ] You don't get to decide that.

[ she’s an even brighter red now. ] I think you’re plenty worthy dummy. And you don’t get a say in whether or not you’re my muse. Only I can decide that.

... fine.

[420blazeit]

[ just leans into him, voice growing unbelievably soft. ] I don’t like when you talk down about yourself... I know your self worth is low, but you’re like a shining beacon to me...

... I just don't understand.

[one gets the sense that he's having trouble with brain things right now, due to... you know... massive physical and psychological trauma]

It's alright... [ she's going to tug him close again, dragging his head straight into her chest. ] Let's just enjoy the view.

[world hard tiddy soft ._.]

Alright.

Good. [ she kisses the side of his head. she's just going to start humming some sort of lullaby to him as they sit. ]

[it's nice... he'll focus on that instead of the tornado of pain his thoughts are otherwise]

[ she goes from humming to singing this, and if he's focusing on it, then he may be able to pick out a few words here and there. it's still all very softly, probably just barely above a whisper. ]
