[ straightens up again and reaches for her hand, lacing their fingers together.

[ pauses as they approach one of the brightly-neon-lit entryways, the bass pumping even from outside, and motions to it. It's not all that different from most of these club spaces, especially for liar hell, but... ]

[She steps in, starting down towards the club proper, the narrow stairwell glowing with black light]

Wonder what this place's deal is...

[ follows alongside her, curiously.

The Deal:

The stairwell opens into a rather large underground room that looks almost tiered with different stages and one wall taken up entirely by a long bar. Everything outta glowing and mirrored and pulsating to the beat of the (very... very loud) music, the bass sending deep vibrations through the walls and everything within them. It's crowded, too, but that's to be expected.

And on those stages, dancers, with varying states of corruption. And dress. ]

[Between the lighting and the sunglasses, it's hard to tell Nem's exact expression. Her stance, however, is uncertain and on alert, her head angling around as if she's not exactly sure where to look--is the person grinding against a pole wearing little more than pasties and chaps over their corruption the one to focus on? Perhaps the lady chatting up what seems to be a group of older business types while slowly removing silk stockings from each tentacle? Or--

--Nemesis stumbles forward, jostled by a large lion dressed in a bow tie and little else carrying a tray of drinks a bit deeper into the club, and ends up a little closer to the bar. The bass is enough to rattle her teeth, and she tugs Req down so she doesn't have to yell so loud]

Um...what're you thinking?

[ Gathers Nem up against her side when she gets pushed, curling arm and wing around her protectively and giving the lion's back a glare as he continues. But she leans down when tugged, listening, and pauses to let her eyes take in the bar and lights and dancers a moment longer. Maybe a little flustered?? It's hard to tell under the lights. ]

... could hang out a bit at the bar. Crowded enough we prolly won't get recognized too much.

Won't complain if some fans wanna buy us drinks though.

[huddles in only a moment before nodding]

Yeah... Okay, sounds like a plan.

[straightens up and lightly touches the small of Req's back before starting for the bar]

What're you drinking, or you want a surprise?

[ leans in for a brief kiss against her hair, before tugging her over to an empty spot in the bar. ]

[Leans over the bar to summon the bartender; the bar's not quite as busy as no one's dancing on it (for now), so there's no reason for them not to trundle over. They also have a bow tie, and horns and a halo, since why not]

Hey bud, I'll give you some spicy rumors if you hook us up with something delicious and red.

[ Watches the demon shuffle away to start mixing, with a smile. ]

Already got your schmooze on, huh?

What can I say, I like my drinks with minimal spit in 'em.

[She thinks?? Has she ever ordered a drink before?? Well let's not worry about that. She remains standing, sidling up to the bar beside Requiem so that her back doesn't have to be to the room]

So, uh. This your typical type of place...?

Pfft, no. Case you didn't notice from like half my memories I'm kinda a recluse.

But this sorta stuff is fun once in a while. Or did you mean the strippers?

[ turns to look, where an eagle-winged and lion- clawed dancer is working the nearest pole on stage. ]

Maybe the other half you're out partying and you just haven't remembered yet.

And, uh. Maybe I mean both.

[Her face is tinted red, but in another minute it's blue, then yellow, as the lights on the main stage continue to change patterns to the music and the dancers' moves]

...Guess you gotta have pretty good balance for this kinda thing, huh.

And great legs.

[ Watches for a moment as the dancer does some sort of upside-down split-- glances at Nemesis' expression-- and putting her fingers in her mouth for a loud wolf-whistle (not that she's the only one whistling, but like. y'know.) ]

[Nemesis lets out a whistle of her own, but more impressed than titillated. The dancer waggles stocking-clad lion toebeans in their direction before twirling towards other viewers]
