What can I say, I like my drinks with minimal spit in 'em.

[She thinks?? Has she ever ordered a drink before?? Well let's not worry about that. She remains standing, sidling up to the bar beside Requiem so that her back doesn't have to be to the room]

So, uh. This your typical type of place...?

Pfft, no. Case you didn't notice from like half my memories I'm kinda a recluse.

But this sorta stuff is fun once in a while. Or did you mean the strippers?

[ turns to look, where an eagle-winged and lion- clawed dancer is working the nearest pole on stage. ]

Maybe the other half you're out partying and you just haven't remembered yet.

And, uh. Maybe I mean both.

[Her face is tinted red, but in another minute it's blue, then yellow, as the lights on the main stage continue to change patterns to the music and the dancers' moves]

...Guess you gotta have pretty good balance for this kinda thing, huh.

And great legs.

[ Watches for a moment as the dancer does some sort of upside-down split-- glances at Nemesis' expression-- and putting her fingers in her mouth for a loud wolf-whistle (not that she's the only one whistling, but like. y'know.) ]

[Nemesis lets out a whistle of her own, but more impressed than titillated. The dancer waggles stocking-clad lion toebeans in their direction before twirling towards other viewers]

Great legs, huh... You ever try?

[ oh-- wait, turns back to nem ]

... poledancing? Not that I remember. Too busy killin monsters and rockin' out.

Huh... Too bad.

[The bartender returns with two ruby-colored cocktails with maraschino cherry skewers in tall glasses and Nemesis slides over a paper with some choice tidbits about the budding relationship between Exael and a few of the BNFs of Imeeji...could there be wedding bells??]

[ hhh... esitates... does she want me to try,

Flusters a little but-- thankfully there's drinks to distract with, and she turns back excitedly. ]

Nice! Thanks, baby. You're the best.

Mm... Maybe save that thought for after you've tasted it...

[Examines her own drink, taking out the sword-shaped skewer of cherries...nice]

Sure.

[ leans over into her space, crowding her against the bartop a little to close her lips over those cherries. ]

weird lighting or not, it is quite obvious she's blushing now, face roiling with heat and gaze locked on Requiem's lips as they swallow]

[ well. she doesn't actually take the cherries off the sword just yet-- she sucks the moisture off them, and runs her tongue over them, before draining the red entirely. ]

Mm.

[Nemesis swallows thickly, the flashing lights and pounding bass fading into the background, echoing the beat of her pulse--greedily watches Req's tongue, dark against the now pale cherries. When she finally speaks, her voice is more than a little throaty]

...Not gonna stop halfway, are you?

Hm? About what?

[ curls her arm-- wings-- around her back, leaning in more to gently bite the sword-skewer and suck the red out of that, too. ]

[her back prickles with the feel of the flesh and feathers brushing against her, and she deliberately shifts her weight to slide her leg up and down Req's ankle, eventually setting it on the crossbar of Req's chair]

Got some perfectly good cherries. You're not gonna take 'em?

[ shivers, leaning her leg in closer... and, well, those cherries are grey now, so it's not like she can really digest them, but--

Req pulls one of the cherries off with her tongue, and tilts her head to lean in and press a kiss to her lips. ]

[brushes against those lips gently, teasingly chaste. at maybe the third light press she parts her lips just a little]

[ seems pretty content to supply her with those gentle kisses even with that cherry held gently between her teeth, fingers tightening against her side. And when Nem parts her lips she follows suit, vaguely cherry flavored(if a bit bland) from the fruit punctured by her teeth, and she--

LIKE, IMMEDIATELY SHOVES THE CHERRY IN HER MOUTH WITHOUT WARNING, SORRY IF YOU WANTED THIS TO BE SEXY BABY ]

[It chucks on in there and she skitters back, coughing...guess she does have a gag reflex]

[ -- CRACKS UP, but like, with a sympathetic expression, immediately rubbing nem's back. ]

Baby, baby, I'm sorry!

[coughs a few more times, taking a swig of the convenient drink]

G-geez, could warn a girl before going for aggro babybirding...

Figured you knew what you were in for.

[ thumps her back a bit, kinda heavy, but fond. ]

Could try again. Between you n' me we got three more cherries.

Maybe later...somebody needs some practice.

[sticks out her tongue but edges up against her, comfortable]

Tastes okay, anyways. --Do you like it?

It's pretty good.

[ settles pretty comfortably herself, looping her arm back around Nem's back to settle her hand on her side as she sips at her own glass. ]
