liar hotel
Who: You.
Where: The hotel.
When: Monday.
[ And so, the bus rolls up to the hotel, and you're set free to go to your own room with . . . literally no luggage, haha, fools.
Once you get past the extremely eye catching stairs up into the building, the hotel ceiling looks like the vaults of a gothic european church, repainted and repurposed as a nightclub with violet lights glowing and illuminating the arched beams, and light streaming from a jewel-like multi-faceted light in the ceiling's central dome. Above the automatic sliding door you enter through are windows of stained glass that show scenes of people paying tribute to the sun, and windows that are just television screens, showing iconic scenes of hell movies: there's the fall of Lucifer, there's a Romeo and Juliet-like tragic love between an angel and a demon, a heroic war scene valorizing the demon on screen, etcetera. The front desk will hand you the keys to your room, and a map of the building. Looks like you have the usual hotel amneities of an ice machine on your floor! There's a nightclub too, on the basement level. Your rooms, for better or worse, are in the same sort of aesthetic. You haven't been grouped by unit, but instead randomly assigned doubles or singles-- whatever the hotel had room for, it looks like.
(OOCly, you can decide to room with whoever you like, as long as they're also staying at the hotel in Liar Hell!) ]

The other guard doesn't seem overly concerned with this. In fact, multiple people are let out to take their one phone call. John disappears into a door on the opposite side of the room - controlled by a panel. Talon as well.
There is a hint of blue-silver FiN magic as Intensity accesses that panel. It needs a retina scan to operate it, but its controls for an elevator. Yes, they are somehow in a cellevator with different phone booths located on each floor.
Leo also gets a turn to get out of the cell to take a phone call, and Intensity tosses him the keys since they aren't doing him any good. But the bars have no lock. So there isn't anything to be done. Leo goes over to the panel when the lion guard stops him. He stops her (and everyone else) with appel - a loud obnoxious scream and attempts to stab her to get her eyes for the panel or something (Intensity isn't really sure what's going on there). The guard gets up immediately and Leo and Req (with verticality from inside the cell) try to fight her off. But it doesn't work and Leo gets thrown back collared (and powerless) into the cage.
Meanwhile, there is some scuffling behind Intensity that he keeps glancing back at - apparently the other guard didn't teleport out at all but was invisible. And the guard and Kohime are rough housing inside the cell. It ends with Kohime sitting on top of him and a tired response of "phone privileges revoked."]

Since everything is fucking chaos, Intensity pulls a electric bread knife (yes that's what I wrote) out of his coat pocket and overloads it to cut through the golden bars. Which surprisingly works! And underneath the bars are the same variations of runes they saw up in the rift. The ones that kept Hurricane, C, and Angel pinned in place.
Intensity attempts to break the runes with one good punch from his new robo arm - but the guard sees this and intervenes immediately. He reform the bars before the hit connects, effectively skewering and pinning Intensity's arm in place. Maki comes and helps Intensity out by breaking the bars with some ZRAEL powers. And it seems the guards don't care how many times they go after the bars themselves as long as they don't touch the runes.
Actually the guards have been pretty accommodating throughout this process, all things considered.
And in and out of the corner of the camera's vision, Kohime continues to tussle with the guard until she somehow ends up outside the cell except for her wrists, which are bound by energy handcuffs and can't be pulled out of the cell much like the keys.]

[Yes, this is exactly a clown show]

[After Intensity has mobility back in his arm again, Req and Maki ask for his advice regarding phone calls. They're looking for information so he recommends Pythia, Exael, or Asmodeus. And they are let out for their one phone call. Amidst the everything.
John returns and Intensity learns that he's contacted Silver. (Which good, that means Intensity can try to save his own phone call for later). And eventually Talon returns. After a fashion. He's used an invisibility potion.
Talon and Intensity communicate in morse code for a bit, but the general consensus is they are going to wait for ZRAEL to come back from their phone calls to make their next move.]

Anyway, when ZRAEL does get back, it is a madhouse. Kohime mind wipes the guards so they forget she is a prisoner and tries to pull off that she works with them. Talon frog materias Leo so he is small and shrinks out of his collar. Intensity powers down the console so they can't call for back-up. Talon also turns the two guards into two cute kittens, and well---
It ends with all of them busting out of the cell and breaking out a stained glass window since they can't operate the retina scanner with the guard's cat eyes. Maki and Doodles stay behind because they know Exael is coming.
And once they're out in the open, Talon and Leo peel off to give Azzy a ring.
And that is the story of how four idiots became a party of rpg fugitives from Liar jail.
Applause please.]

Second of all. You still managed. Something. So good job there. Although I'm not super keen on the Talon stuff but. In many ways I suppose it was inevitable.

And I ought to drop in on Miss Exael when I'm in the neighborhood as well.

How soon is the angel going to wish they were dead? Probably very soon.

There's a lot of missteps and my stress is through the roof but it looks like a lot of good has happened too.
no subject
And what good is that?
[Because he is still salty about doing a jail break to only find everyone else was already wandering around]
no subject
I'm holding onto that.
[you guys were dumb and should have waited for Exael though]
no subject
Yes. There is that.
Sounds like Man Eater was able to explore a different part of the ship. And that he attempted to come to prison to find the rest of the party.
If you do run into him—-
...
[Send him to me is a little too selfish. Even for Intensity.]
Inform him as appropriate at your discretion. Hopefully he’ll do the same for you in return.
Otherwise your other two people of interest are Talon and Maki, and I am confident you have the both of them covered.
I’ll see if anything can be done about Eichi. And to a lesser extent Absinthe.
no subject
Have you checked in with Maki?
no subject
And no, not yet. I didn’t have time to fully sync with her about what her goals were regarding Exael. And I don’t think she’s in any particular danger at the moment.
If Exael can handle 99 without injuring him, everyone else is a cake walk.
no subject
Any messages for Maki? I can pass her a note if it's private.

And that Man Eater is currently MIA — heading for Liar jail as his last known whereabouts.
