[he startles a little and looks up.]

I'm ...not sure. I've been hearing weird noises and everyone looks pretty on-edge. I suspect some people may be monstering out outside the tower, but I haven't seen anything, myself.

I ran into Hiyruu at the park. She's... really something! And by "something" I mean a dragon. She's really a dragon.

She - what?

[we_meet_again]

She said she wanted to give her monster form a try, and she changed into a red dragon, with scales and wings and everything. She's... breathtakingly beautiful.

Don't worry, she's still in control of herself. She says the hunger is worse as a dragon, but she's having so much fun flying around that she forgets it. She seems like she's really enjoying herself. ...and honestly? I'm really grateful that she's found something to be happy about right now. Some of us can probably use the distractions so we don't completely drown in our own bad thoughts right now.

I was a little curious so I snuck off somewhere private to try it out. I think I might be a coeurl...?

You know, those big spotted cat guys with the electricity...?

Well, uh, they're these huge cats that are yellow with black spots and three manes. They have long electric whiskers like whips coming out of their cheeks. And they run stupidly fast... one of the fastest land animals, I think?

They sounded kinda like leopards, till you got to the manes and the cheek whips.

I have no idea what a leopard is, so I'll have to take your word for it.
