Rising tall above the skyline of the city is a massive translucent tree, which seemingly has sprouted from the deadzone crater and is bathed in light leading straight up to…Heaven? The hotel alarms are blaring, and the maintenance fairies are for once actually present and visible - despite the fact that there's nothing broken.

They're fluttering about frantically, screaming in panic at each other while doing…whatever they're doing. You can catch snippets of their speech -

"What is that!" "What is happening?" "Where is Madame-Administrator?" "Seal off all exits!" "Prepare for separation!"

Heaven graduates, meanwhile, find that all of them are receiving a message on their phones:

Hey, wanna free your friends?

I'm pretty sure there used to be weapons out here, but going to be honest I didn't take that good of a look this time, since I made a b-line to the strange happenstance.

[ also, he's kind of curious about the portal, so what would happen if... he threw a small rock into it? ]

[ It enters the portal and disappears, but for just a second as it does - the kaleidoscope of headache and vertigo-inducing colours shifts to look like this before returning to its normal state. ]

Let's find some regular water, since it doesn't seem to play nice with holy water. [ can they find any regular water up here or do they need to leave and come with with a pitcher? or a fire hose. ]

After reading it aloud, Yvette will take a handful of water and drink it, just to see if it does anything, though she isn't corrupted, so who knows? ]
