Rising tall above the skyline of the city is a massive translucent tree, which seemingly has sprouted from the deadzone crater and is bathed in light leading straight up to…Heaven? The hotel alarms are blaring, and the maintenance fairies are for once actually present and visible - despite the fact that there's nothing broken.

They're fluttering about frantically, screaming in panic at each other while doing…whatever they're doing. You can catch snippets of their speech -

"What is that!" "What is happening?" "Where is Madame-Administrator?" "Seal off all exits!" "Prepare for separation!"

Heaven graduates, meanwhile, find that all of them are receiving a message on their phones:

Hey, wanna free your friends?

OBJECTIVES | START (CURRENT IDOLS + DROPPED IDOLS) | START (HEAVEN GRADUATES) | TURN-IN

...not a whole lot of options at the moment. Besides, well, that. [ he jerks a thumb at the tree. ] But I'm also a bit curious if it's even operational, and if not~ what kind of shenanigans I can get into in there.

Such a place is most likely to have a link to areas outside of Tokyo-F.

Though I'm more concerned of you being trapped there should this production continue to deteriorate.

And what about you? I don't want that happening to you either. I'm just going to... pop in, and then we can start a little investigation of our own if you're up for it. I kind of enjoy existing... so I don't want the entire production to crumble in on itself, especially since we never got a chance to graduate and leave.

I know it might be a fool's errand, but I would regret it if I did not at least try.

[ Nods up to the tree ]

If you do go there, I wish to go with you.

[ Probably more for his own sake then Childe needing any protection. ]

[childeishly]

[ childe offers a small smile. ] If you think it's important, Xiansheng, then it's not a fool's errand.

I'll meet you up there then. Sound good?

[ And he reaches for Childe's hands, bringing one up to kiss the back of his fingers and give it a squeeze.

He could tell Childe not to be reckless but perhaps a little reckless is just what this situation needed. Why not be reckless if the world could collapse around them at any moment. ]

[ childe's smile morphs into a smirk as he steps forward to capture zhongli's in a proper kiss. ] Isn't that my line. We'll see each other again, I'm sure of it. But until then [ he reaches for zhongli's wrist, pointedly brushing his fingers over he riptide mark there. ] take care.

[ Zhongli smiles softly, also running his fingers over the mark. ]

It seems Childe was spot-on that most of the people are busy and scattered doing their own things. ]
