Patience! We're making good time.

[As a matter of fact, he'll begin smoothly descending - a certain building standing out among the rest up ahead.]

I'm not exactly the most patient person when I don't know where we're going.

[ Which! The building gives her no reason to believe it's a snowy mountain... Or pretending to be one. So she's still looking :( ]

[Then she can in fact be surprised (and possibly disappointed) when that's the building they stop in front of. Once again, it's a nice and smooth halt, and he's quick to plant a foot on the ground and set the motorcycle on its stand right in front of the entrance.]

'Kay, we're here!

[ The motorcycle lands and they get off and Astrid looks for a solid moment. But it's just as hot over here. There's no real mountain covered in snow and it's... She frowns, folding her arms. ]

What. Are you trying to pull one over on me?

[bondsofsuffering]

Nope! C'mon, you'll see.

[He gestures for her to follow, walking up to the entrance and stepping inside. And, upon crossing that threshold, right into the base of a snowy mountain.]

[ Prideful her, the part that keeps her arms crossed, tells her to not follow him because it's probably he's playing a joke on her. The more adventurous and curious part of her wins out - afterall, it's not like she doesn't have an axe to make a point if necessary. ]

[ But despite the grandeur of the places she's seen so far - from the dorms to what the game tower can be - it's still not enough to prevent her from stopping in surprise at an actual mountain with snow. ]

This place will never cease to amaze me, huh.

That's demon magic for you.

[He'll just hang out while she takes in the sight - though he does cross his arms, it's pretty chilly for his unit's style.]

Don't remind me.

[ Her usual outfit is thankfully a lot of layers so between that and a more natural inclination to the cold she's not as bad, but it's still cold. She'll still notice him cross his arms. ]

Are you sure it's okay for you to be out here? Don't they have furs somewhere around here to wear?

They have winter supplies up at the lodge.

[He nods at the lift - which does exist, by the way, leading up the side of the mountain.]

We can take those.

[ She turns her head to where he's directing before nodding. ]

All right, then let's head that way. [ At least lifts aren't the weirdest things she's seen - like a zipline carring a bench? So let's focus on getting there before either of them freeze. ]

How often do you come out here?

Pretty often! It's a fun way to get some exercise in, plus they serve up food every day at mealtimes.

[Plonking himself on the lift.]

[ She'll get on the lift as well, brows furrowing in question some: ]

You come all the way out here for food?

It's a bonus! A fun time out in the mountains, and then heaps of food waiting when you get back.

Makes sense. It's nice when you don't have to worry about cooking all the time.

[ said as someone who 100% no one wants to cook ] Do they serve the same kind of food you find elsewhere around here?

[ sweets or actual food you'd eat on a cold mountain? ]

Not exactly. It's more... eggs, bacon, sausages, potatoes, stuff like that.
