One's own group seemed to grapple with the regulations a bit, so one has to wonder.

We were pretty united, actually . . . everyone agreed on how to play, and who to send things to.

Then we spent the time with group hugs and teasing each other.

May one inquire on the strategy your troupe employed?

After overhearing the discussions in one's room during the event, and after speaking to sundry participants afterward, one is coming to understand that there may be some politics between the various teams. And without an understanding of the nuances of these politics, one may be at somewhat of a disadvantage.

Amity has just realized that Sakura is just a bird, and that's WHY he's standing there, staring at this Literal Bird, but Cloud Retainer doesn't have the context, so it probably doesn't look entirely great that this little cat boy sees a bird and stares at her, stock-still as if he might pounce.]

I need to learn how to deal with birds. My teammate is also a bird and I have no idea what that means in regards to how I interact with him.

Yes. One has known the Conqueror of Demons for many a century. Most surprised one was to catch a glimpse of him upon one's arrival in this realm.

So. "Sakura" is his moniker now, is it?

Yes, though one has not always appeared as one does now.

In one's youth, one was a crane like any other — of average size, bearing average plumes. Well, hardly average, else one would not be standing here before you now, would one! Ha ha.

"Sakura" was once the same, in his youth. Not a crane, however — a bird of prey, sharp of talon and broad of wing. A fighter from the start, no doubt.

At a certain level along one's journey of cultivation, one's form becomes malleable, as easy to don or doff as an outfit of human clothing, and for the same purposes — for utility, or convenience, or curiosity, or even a change of pace. Many ultimately settle into a form that feels most comfortable. Such is the form you see before you now — a body sculpted to fit the shape of one's spirit. One is quite pleased with the results, if one may say so!

One has most often seen Sakura in the shape you see him now. One has not inquired into the reasons for this preference, as they do not seem particularly relevant — presumably this is the shape he feels fits him most appropriately, or hinders him least. Everyone has their reasons. Why, one once knew a serpent who chose the form of a huge man with not just one pair of arms, but two! Making up for lost time, perhaps! Ha ha.
