You can always change it later if you feel like it. That's the kind of society the amnesiacs here have come up with.

But yes, healing. Most of us can't do much about illness or disease, but if it's a wound of some kind, we're the ones who can fix it up for you, to some extent.

I think it suits me well enough so far, but I'll keep that in mind.

There's an apothecary area here, and many plants have properties that can help with some illnesses, if you ever need a hand. With the games I've heard about, I'd guess that you all keep busy enough.

We do tend to end up busy, it's true. That's why we ask for payment, especially if it's healing needed outside of regular games. If we're on break, we have to spend the time finding and fixing people up when called, after all.

That sounds only fair. It's a service you're providing. Doctors get paid for their work.

Basically. It's a flat healing rate of 300 points, though if you end up needing body parts replaced, you'll have to buy the parts yourself. But I'm sure your unit will be there for you if things get that dire too quickly.

I don't have much idea how difficult it is to earn 300 points, so I may as well ask whether any of you will accept payment in trade, in part or entirely. I figure I must have some talent that could be useful.

Your unit will probably spot you if it comes down to it, but points can take a while to earn when you're just starting out. I recommend figuring out how Lives work and how to incorporate your own into others' if you want to earn enough for abilities.

I suppose I'll have to stay out of the wrong sort of trouble until I can afford to get hurt, then. Fortunately, it seems like that still leaves a great deal to occupy myself.

We've got a lot of amenities nowadays, that's for sure. Which sounds more exciting to you: a huge library with all kinds of knowledge at your fingertips, or a facility with all kinds of tools you can use to stay active and burn some energy?

Hmm. Of course I can't be sure without trying them both, but I think I'd tend toward the latter unless there was an especially good reason for the former, or especially good company.

By your phrasing, I assume you didn't always have so many options?

Nope. The more points we raise as a collective, the more upgrades we get. A lot of what you'll be able to see out there is the result of that.

It seems as though we newer residents owe those of you who have been here for a while quite a debt.

What's the best addition, in your opinion? I'm compiling a mental list, since most everything here with the exception of the flora feels unfamiliar.

Eh, it's technically a group effort anyway. Just throw lots of Lives yourself so we can rack up collective points.

As for places I enjoy... You can't really go wrong with the arcade!

If you don't know what it is just from the word, it's definitely going to need seeing to be believed. But the short version is, "a place where you can play all kinds of automated games."

There's people from all kinds of times and places, so you wouldn't be the first to need a little extra help. Most people are pretty friendly outside of games, so don't worry too much about asking questions when you're starting out.

Is that why you make a point to visit the newcomers, to help with our questions? Or perhaps you're a naturally curious person. I suppose a third possibility is you overbought on snacks.

But it's actually option five! There was a guy on this unit who was formerly a member of sensitIV. He graduated recently, but ditching the rest of you guys just because of that leaves a bad taste in my mouth, so I decided I'll keep dropping by!
