It seems as though we newer residents owe those of you who have been here for a while quite a debt.

What's the best addition, in your opinion? I'm compiling a mental list, since most everything here with the exception of the flora feels unfamiliar.

Eh, it's technically a group effort anyway. Just throw lots of Lives yourself so we can rack up collective points.

As for places I enjoy... You can't really go wrong with the arcade!

I can handle a few performances for the greater good.

However, I'm going to ask for a bit of explanation about an arcade. [ He says the word perfectly, but it's clear that this is the first time he's heard it. ]

If you don't know what it is just from the word, it's definitely going to need seeing to be believed. But the short version is, "a place where you can play all kinds of automated games."

Gotcha. [ What he's imagining is a far cry from reality, so he will indeed be le shocked ]

I'll make sure to visit and gawk appropriately. I don't seem to have even heard the word "phone" before arriving here, so I'm sure a great many things will be surprising.

There's people from all kinds of times and places, so you wouldn't be the first to need a little extra help. Most people are pretty friendly outside of games, so don't worry too much about asking questions when you're starting out.

All kinds, huh? I imagine it's more or less based on who will be the most entertainment for the masses. [ His tone manages to be both sincere and sarcastic ]

Is that why you make a point to visit the newcomers, to help with our questions? Or perhaps you're a naturally curious person. I suppose a third possibility is you overbought on snacks.

It could be option four - currying favor with other units so you'll look kindly on us during dangerous games.

But it's actually option five! There was a guy on this unit who was formerly a member of sensitIV. He graduated recently, but ditching the rest of you guys just because of that leaves a bad taste in my mouth, so I decided I'll keep dropping by!

My, how conspiratorial Option Four is. [ Such things never cross his mind, never! ] Especially for someone new and naive who would likely agree to anything in exchange for some good snacks.

Even the things I end up not enjoying, at least it will be interesting! As far as "learning experiences" I've heard about around here, it seems one of the less risky ones.

That's very true. Thankfully, they have all kinds of harmless stuff we can keep busy with whenever we have downtime.

I'm sure I'll get to it all eventually. Just a question of how much downtime there might be to use for such things.

It kind of depends? Sometimes if a game is big or bad enough, they'll give us a nice break.

Either way, I recommend finding some hobbies to keep yourself occupied with. There's actually a lot of resources here most people wouldn't normally have, so might as well put it to use, right?

The dorm has everything I could want, except for people. [ Super into nature over here. ] But that alone is enough reason to venture out.

There's a limited population here, but it does make it easier to get to know most people by sight.

Oh? That feels somehow familiar. Maybe I'm used to a place like that.

A smaller population, huh? Well, that's definitely the case here, even if the city's size doesn't exactly match.

Maybe! Educated guesses can only tell me so much.

Interesting that they chose to keep the population here smaller but with more space. Makes you wonder.

The city itself is based on a giant city from my own world, so that's probably part of the reason.
