[Cosmo is rocking a look. Minus the plague mask, it's just his normal mask. He's got a set of fruity drinks in front of him, and he's leaning back with a drink in hand.]

"Risk" and "Reward".

Half of these drinks are non-alcoholic, most of the rest are quite potently alcoholic, a few are drugged.

The risk is obvious, the reward is engaging in the live. Or perhaps in avoiding the traps.

The drugs are one of three kinds--a potent psychedelic, a numbing agent, and something to get you a little hot under the collar. Do take it elsewhere if you get that last one.

[He sips his drink.]

Of course some say the best way to win at gambling is not to play, but where's the fun in that?

I hadn't expected him to drink at all. And if I wished specifically to target him I would do so in private.

But bored.... perhaps. I was curious. How might people react? What would they choose to do? Who would be judgemental? Who would be interested?

I had some old ones that needed using before the potency declined. It seemed a waste to throw it away.

[ 1... lol. he takes the drink and, once again, overturns the glass to stack them. this is the combination he had been a little bit concerned about, though he hadn't said anything. he rolls his shoulders, acting like everything's a-ok, but he's definitely feeling warmer. ]

Looks like all I've gotten is straight liquor. [ yeah, keep believing that, maybe you can fool yourself. ] Only four left.

He finishes and wipes his lips with the back of his hand as he overturns the glass, feeling the warmth crawling up the back of his neck.]

You must learn to ignore them, Elidibus. Is trying to save another timeline worth potentially dooming the one we claim? I do not think so. The idea horrifies me.

Even if a timeline is not doomed too complete death, there are Scions here. They will wish their own future unchanged. Will you oppose all here and in every universe? You will fail. We couldn't even save one world, the three of us. We have a chance to change that. Do not endanger it.

[ he trails off as the table starts to warp, all of the glasses swirling together and making some kind of horrible mess that his brain can't make sense of. he's quiet for at least a good minute and a half before he looks across at cosmo, whose mask is doing some wacky shit. ]

...uhm. [ reaches for his face, specifically to cup his cheeks, so he can attempt to stop it. ] You're not looking so hot. Hot as in... well. Not hot as in hot, because you're actually pretty hot.

This was old stock. Still potent though, not past its expiration. Simply getting there.

To be honest I perhaps was not expecting those I was close to to be as disapproving as they are. Otherwise, little comes as a surprise. I think people in tokyo-f secretly wish to cut loose more than they would like to admit. This merely offers an excuse for those.

[ he lets his wrist be taken as he turns his head, slow, to avoid sending the entire world into a blurry mess. ] I might not know what it looks like whole, but that doesn't mean I can't make an educatedly imaginative guess. I have no desire to undo the efforts you've made with our reputation with blind drug trials.

The results might be interesting but I doubt they would be worth the hassle.

However, next time I'll ask your opinion on what drugs to use.
