[Cosmo is rocking a look. Minus the plague mask, it's just his normal mask. He's got a set of fruity drinks in front of him, and he's leaning back with a drink in hand.]

"Risk" and "Reward".

Half of these drinks are non-alcoholic, most of the rest are quite potently alcoholic, a few are drugged.

The risk is obvious, the reward is engaging in the live. Or perhaps in avoiding the traps.

The drugs are one of three kinds--a potent psychedelic, a numbing agent, and something to get you a little hot under the collar. Do take it elsewhere if you get that last one.

[He sips his drink.]

Of course some say the best way to win at gambling is not to play, but where's the fun in that?

Was that part of the reason you decided to throw a Live like this or were you simply bored?

I hadn't expected him to drink at all. And if I wished specifically to target him I would do so in private.

But bored.... perhaps. I was curious. How might people react? What would they choose to do? Who would be judgemental? Who would be interested?

Are you surprised by what you've seen so far? I'll admit I'm surprised there aren't *more* judgemental people here.

This was old stock. Still potent though, not past its expiration. Simply getting there.

[So presumably he has refilled his drugs cabinet with new fresh drugs.]

To be honest I perhaps was not expecting those I was close to to be as disapproving as they are. Otherwise, little comes as a surprise. I think people in tokyo-f secretly wish to cut loose more than they would like to admit. This merely offers an excuse for those.

...ah. A creative use for them. And you've earned yourself some points to replenish, assuming you haven't already.

[ tilts his head. ] It's not like you had kept the additives a secret. You were upfront. I see no problem. [ then just leans in to give him a nose boop. ] I think you're right and though you may never get a proper thank you for giving them the help they so clearly need you certainly deserve it.

[He looks surpurised, then charmed.]

This is hardly selfless. I am not seeking gratitude. I'm curious, as I said.

[He kisses Pentium's snout though.]

But that doesn't take away from the fact that you helped... intended or not. [ h- hey! he goes red and averts all of his eyes. that's an interesting... bunch of drunk people over there. ]

I'm enjoying the show. It's amusing to see humans operate at half, hm... one third capacity. [ he feels like that might still be being generous. ]

Not at all. I don't like being impaired, which would inevitably lead to my attacking people, so... it's best I sit out.

I could give you the drugs without the alcohol if you like, now or another time.

People watching can be quite rewarding as well.

Agreed! It's how I learned to talk. And where a lot of my knowledge about humans came from. [ so he really likes people watching. ] People are... interesting... [ his eyes close to the pets and he stretches a bit like a giant scalely cat. ]

Bitter resentment and the desire for revenge are very good reasons to learn and learn quickly.

Indeed, powerful motivation can yield excellent rewards.

It certainly can. It's how I learned a number of things... all of which I think of pretty impressive.
