[Today the dining area in the lobby has been taken over by what seems to be party decor, though the decorations are fairly minimal. There's a cornucopia stuffed with fruit, some pumpkins and flint corn and various other fall decor. It isn't too out of control though because frankly, the whole rest of the space is taken up by the food. And there is a lot of food]

[There's turkey and pork loin and prime rib, and stuffed acorn squash for the vegetarians. Then come the sides: mashed potatoes and potatoes au gratin; green bean casserole, roast root vegetables, and honey-glazed carrots. Plus the Thanksgiving traditionals: stuffing, sweet potato casserole, fresh-baked dinner rolls, and cranberry sauce]

[Dessert gets its own table, and it's laden down with apple pie, pumpkin pie, and both chocolate and pumpkin pudding. There are also drinks: a variety of conbini teas, juices, coffees, and sodas, as well as homemade apple cider]

[also, when you enter, there is a friendly mannequin holding a HAPPY TGIVING sign. But look out, as it seems to be motion activated (or someone’s pulling the strings) as it will randomly twitch and squawk when someone walks by. Festive!]

[The camera pans around the room, where a rep from every team is set up for their respective lives: Izanagi, Nemesis, Ren, Felicity, Alizaren, Yvette, Rye, Klaus, Eichi, C, and Serenity. After the camera makes the full circuit, Hurricane's voice speaks from off-screen:]

So, uh. We been here a while and I don't think we ever done nothing for Thanksgiving before? Anyways, if you don't got that one where you're from, it's a holiday where it's pretty much an excuse to hang out with people you like, eat a whole lot of food, and be glad for the stuff you got. So come on down and grab some dinner and a couple points if you got the time.

[Izanagi pops into the camera with a cheerful wave.]

It’s a good way to relax and unwind for some self-care, right? And if you’ve got fidgety hands, you can join in by making your very own work of art simply enough!

[He holds up a picture of - yup, that’s a hand turkey.]

Fortunately, the instructions for this cute li’l guy are super simple, so I’m sure anyone can make it easily enough!

[ Loooow whistle there, followed by applause. ~~The outfit's very nice, too, but he's so much more interested in the other show being put on.~~

[ She wouldn't put it past him to applaud sarcastically, but she knows that was probably fun to watch. Sure was fun to execute, pun intended. ]

Think I'm ready for a good opponent? Turkeys aside.

[ No sarcasm! He slants her a wide grin in response to that. ]

I think it's hard to compare stationary to moving, but I'd be more than happy to play practice dummy for you.

[ Is he serious? He certainly seems serious, ]

[ She picks up her katana from where she'd propped it against the main table -- not actually done for his benefit, however it looks, but the timing works. ]

Never know 'til I try.

[ She does glance longingly at the food, though, because her priorities are stunning. You mean after eating, yes? ]

[ His lips quirk and then he laughs, soft and low. ]

Well, it's a standing invitation. Definitely doesn't have to be right this second.

[ His sword comes with him wherever he goes, too, so at the moment it might be dangling from a cord wrapped around his left fist. Sheathed katana, with a white handle. ]

[ Taking a long, lingering look at that actual sword. Believe it or not, and she almost can't, some part of her wants to eat later. It is, however, drowned out. ]

I'd hate to see Izanagi and Hurricane's work go to waste, and I should probably change clothes. [ She can fight in this, but if she wants to use her full potential a skirt probably isn't the thing, no matter how much tarlatan's in it, and if she ruins her lace high collared corset she'll be put out. ]

Is there someplace set up for this kind of thing? [ Her expression veers toward the amused again, wondering what setting a place like this might have. Cameras, no doubt, which -- isn't unappealing. ]

[ Oh, there are cameras everywhere outside of the dorms, so. Don't worry about that. ] [ His gaze does dip to take in what she's wearing, but only for a moment before it's back on her face, just that little bit hotter. ]

Well, there's no real dress code for a fight, but if what you've got on right now is too restrictive — then by all means. [ His smile slants. ] I wanna see you at your best.

[ As for the where... ]

—Most people just use one of the parks. [ Hums. ] Which is fine with me, if we're keeping unit powers out of it — which I assume we are?

[ Because she's too new to have more than one power, surely? ]

[ Being looked over nearly makes her reconsider the outfit change, but -- ]

[ She steps closer, stopping about three steps outside his armspan, but enough for one of their blades to easily reach if they were to be brandished. ]

I just want clothes that I'm fine with ruining. [ Because yes, she won't give anything but her best. ] And I agree, no powers. Use your hands.

[ His grip shifts on the cord from which his own sword dangles, but that's it; the only reaction to her movement outside of the way his pupils blow a little wider, darkening his gray eyes. Which then lid, when she says... ] [ Okay, wetting his lips. Might be kind of distracted as he murmurs, ]

For the record, if you wreck something you really love, a member of fin — future is now — can fix it up for you. They'll probably want like 50 points for it.

[ Assuming Felicity is representative, anyway. ]

Oh? [ Inclining her head a little as she shifts her weight, not moving closer but changing the shape of the space between them, one side of her mouth quirking upward. ] That'll be convenient.

[ Her thumb bends up on the guard of her sheathed sword, as if she's idly considering drawing it in the middle of the lobby. And takes two slow steps toward him; close, not touching. ]

Shall we say an hour?

[ hnn ] [ A slow indrawn breath, then he smiles. ]

Tease.

[ Returning the complaint. Or the compliment, depending on how you look at it. ]

[ She looks unreasonably pleased about that. ] You have no idea.

[ Then she waits, not quite holding still. See you then, with blades and a thoroughly disposable set of clothing? ]

[ Drags his bottom lip between his teeth. ]

—Can't wait.

[ But he does mean that figuratively, he doesn't make a move towards her. Lupine is definitely planning on watching her walk away, though. ]

[ And she knows it, and so when she slides past him, grazing his calf with the sheathed tip of her katana, she's very glad her hair is out of the way, because the back of that corset is fairly open until the laces start below her shoulder blades. ]

[ Overflow! Because this isn't staying all that SFW all that much longer. ]

I really hope she's new. Otherwise, I have no idea how we missed her.

[ lupine 🤝 alisaie = can we see that again in slow motion, maybe with fewer clothes ] [ Kind of a breathless laugh into his fist, he shakes his head. ]

Just a couple days ago, she said. [ His eyes slide to Ali, turn maybe a shade mischievous. ] —She was disappointed to have missed us, too.

[ About the fight live. Definitely not anything else, ]

Well, mayhap that's grounds enough for a rerun, sometime. It's not like we're exactly short of reasons to want to blow off steam, here.

[Said about those particular games, and absolutely nothing else.]
