GHOST HUNT (the Prequel)

[You arrive to the game tower where today, the atmosphere seems to be quite s~p~o~o~k~y. Fog seems to cover the entire floor area and any visible area of the tower is covered by things like (fake) spiderwebs and also (fake) spiders hanging around in (fake) trees.

It would probably feel a little more spookier if it wasn't for the fact that music is blaring throughout the tower. Someone is a host today, but it's impossible to tell whom considering they're covered in a white sheet with holes cut out for eyes.

Until they talk anyway.]

I GOT A ★~★~PROMOTION~★~★

To host the greatest haunted house party that you can imagine!! But w-w-w-wait, haunted houses are s-scary! I don't wanna make you guys get too scared so we'll start small . . .

It's still gonna be dangerous though!! Ghosts are PRETTY uncontrollable, ya know~? I've seen SAWoleen XVI, I know how it goes!!

[ he gives him a small smile and then finally deposits him on the tub, joining him shortly after so he can take care of washing him, gentle, taking his time with it ]

[He’s going to be a limp noodle, basking in it with sighs, but also stay close to him to give him a small touches here and there.

[ There's a pause at that, and then he just rests his forehead against his, keeping quiet for a few moments ]

Good, because I'd have to come get you otherwise.

[It hits him hard knowing that Five would. Not that he hasn’t claimed it before, but it is awfully nice to be remembered.]

Might I use your own line against you? Just when I though in couldn’t possibly love your more, you prove me wrong.

[ he laughs at that, and then shifts so he can kiss his forehead instead ]

Something else we keep trying to one-up each other with.

You always did enjoy overachieving and in this I can be bothered.

[He closes his eyes and wraps one arm around him so he can stroke his fingers up and down his back. It’s a soft gesture, slow, both reaffirming and marveling that he is there.]

And I am going to keep you forever. I would be a fool not to.

[ that's nice, because as always he enjoys the closeness, and of course he smiles at the words ]

Look at us. Being mushy again.

[He leans towards him to kiss the scar on his neck.]

I was trying to go for possessive.

[ oh. His face goes red at that, and he clears his throat, trying to hide just how much that gets to him ]

Right. Well. That's nice too.

[He gathers him in his arms and in his lap even if he gets in the way of the pampering a bit. He kisses the top of his head softly.]

Speaking of possessiveness. Is Caeli yours? Or can I play with him without you? I wouldn’t want to overstep bounds or make you jealous.

[ He looks just as surprised by the question as he is when he gathers him in his lap, but he shakes that soon enough ]

Well, he's Zhongli's, not mine. You can play with him if he's receptive to it, which I'm pretty sure he must be, given how much he liked messing with you when we were together.

So long as you two don't end up leaving me behind.

I will ask Zhongli then as well.

Though I am quite certain when it comes to that kind of play, I will be the one in the dust and be encouraging from afar.

My strongest desire will ever burn for you. Even before the rings ‘twas your company I craved. That has not changed.

[ He'll bring his hand to his chin and then lean in to kiss him ]

I'm glad if you two get along.

[He kisses him back a little more roughly than intended.]

Even if we were not, you hardly need my approval for your friends. But I can see the appeal he has.

[He laughs a little.]

I suppose I would not be asking if I did not get along with him. And even though he might belong to Zhongli I see him as more yours than mine, and I would not overstep that boundary.

And perhaps we can figure out how to stop him from draining his aether to power his abilities.

[ Oh. That's surprising - it's usually childe who pushes things even when he's in this body, but he certainly doesn't mind Emet kissing him. There's a soft, please hum against his lips, and he licks them once he pulls away ]

I'm more worried about what leaving you two to your own devices will do in regards to you scheming against me, but other than that, I have no issues.

And yes. I fully intend on using your help for that.

We will scheme against you regardless. Of that you have no refuge.

[He does watch his lips carefully noting each movement.]

Now that’s just being a tease. One in which I would invite and take advantage of readily. However, I feel as if I should ask about any lingering unpleasantness from the game first as I won’t be in a frame of mind to ask after.

I see he's already being a bad influence over you.

[ he'll rest against that at the question, though, quiet for a few moments ]

You're the one who got stabbed multiple times, not me. But I'll admit it hit a bit harder than I expected. All of it.

He has the affect on you, does he not? It is one of his charm points.

[He brushes his hair tugging him so he can listen to his heartbeat.]

Physical injuries never stay with me long. Soon they will be forgotten.

But it never gets easy to watch those we love get hurt. Even when logically you know these wounds will heal.

Setting our dear Zhongli on fire was rather rude though he seems to have handled it fine. But I still worry for you.

[ oh. that's nice, honestly, and as always he's relaxing against him, letting his guards drop a bit ]

That was pretty bad. I'm glad he could use his abilities to counter it, but if I hadn't focused on Caeli losing it I'm not sure — ... well. It would have been worse.

That, and the lights going off. It did feel like I was alone at that time.

But I still would have taken all that more easily than seeing that chandelier drop on you.

Did the lights go out? I can’t recall. Though truthfully it is all a bit fuzzy thanks to Lily. I’m surprised they allowed us our abilities.

[He stills his hand letting him listen.]

Another reason to not be so tall. Though I’m afraid then Vergil would have been next.

Is it bad I'm thinking they should have gone for Black?

Well. As bad as that was. I'm glad we were together. And that I have you with me now.

The face he would have made. And not at all. He would have been my choice fond as I am of him.

[He is getting up and holding Five wrapping them both in one exceedingly large towel.]

If I could soothe you more, I would, but I do not wish to make light of your feelings. It is terrible and I do not wish you to get used to it.

But can I both distract you and confirm my presence with physical attention? Or aetherical if you wish to move to dreams.

Maybe we can do a bit of both. Let me stay with you until we both fall asleep and then move to our dreams.

I do like this compromise.

[There is an attempt at drying but luckily both of them have rather short hair so they won't get their surrounding too wet. Then he'll carry him to bed.]

Speaking of dreams, how are you feeling after the last one? Even though I loathe the thought of you having to live my worst memories, I can't deny how ... comforting it was to have you there. I suppose it brought into clarity how impactful your support is.

I feel the same. I dislike the thought of inflicting the worst that has ever happened to me onto you, but admittedly it has helped. Even when I am not aware of my own dreams it seems easier to think back of walking the streets with you, rather than when I was on my own.
