[You arrive to the game tower where today, the atmosphere seems to be quite s~p~o~o~k~y. Fog seems to cover the entire floor area and any visible area of the tower is covered by things like (fake) spiderwebs and also (fake) spiders hanging around in (fake) trees.

It would probably feel a little more spookier if it wasn't for the fact that music is blaring throughout the tower. Someone is a host today, but it's impossible to tell whom considering they're covered in a white sheet with holes cut out for eyes.

Until they talk anyway.]

I GOT A ★~★~PROMOTION~★~★

To host the greatest haunted house party that you can imagine!! But w-w-w-wait, haunted houses are s-scary! I don't wanna make you guys get too scared so we'll start small . . .

Small . . . tiny . . . miniscule . . .

It's still gonna be dangerous though!! Ghosts are PRETTY uncontrollable, ya know~? I've seen SAWoleen XVI, I know how it goes!!

[ yeah something definitely happened after they left the first room and he's not sure what especially since he couldn't remember anything from the first room until he got out of the second. ]

[He's sort of just, scrubbing at his face? For some reason he seems really tired even though he's upset, too. ]

[ Aether doesn't get this behavior at all. He leaves a moment to go drag the journal and pen that Dva was using to try and talk to Tsukasa earlier with. He writes a big question mark before sliding the book and pen across the floor to bump into Lark's foot. ]

[ ... The pen moves on its own as he attempts to write more. It reads: "are you okay?" ]

There's a long pause, and when he speaks again he can't help but sound weary. ]

I'm just tired of seeing them dead again, I guess.

Yeah. And, you know, that they died for my friend and he's going to have to live with that knowledge from now on. I don't even know if they realise how reckless it was.

[ shows up very slowly one word at a time. "Died because ghost wanted Knight only. Hid him from her. Had all evidence fast... should have been safe. Ghost became enraged and murderous suddenly. No reason to think it would kill anyone other than Knight. Not conscious sacrifice but still hurt Tsukasa like one. "

...and then on the opposite page. "Sanity level plummeted too fast." ]

[ As he reads the page, Skylark sighs. A part of him wants to ask, why didn't they try to hide, and what made them think it wouldn't kill them, but at this point it just feels like it would be rubbing salt in the wound. ]

[ in lark's defense, it's a good question. they could have all hid. and to his further defense it was the two HSS members that made it into a no-hide protection thing for all of them.
