[ Today, the garden terrace of the Heaven Graduates Visitation Center has been transformed.

The lawn has been replaced with overflowing riots of colorful blossoms, like a wildflower meadow. It’s composed primarily of blue cornflowers, red crocosmia, and teal roses with extra-long thorns, all mixed together with a wide variety of sunflowers. In the center is a little patch of grass with picnic blankets spread out, just large enough to accommodate everyone.

Nearby, on the patio, is a long, rectangular grill the length of a picnic table, where anyone can grill their own snacks, Korean BBQ style. A nearby table is piled with all manners of meats and veggies, sliced into easily-grilled strips or already speared into kabobs, ready for the fire. Here you can find such delicacies as behemoth tenderloin, garula steak, gighee ham, and even marlboro tentacle (delicious!).

There is also alcohol. Lots of alcohol. Good alcohol.

The sun is well on its way to setting, leaving the sky a beautiful gradient of blue-pink-orange-yellow; the light is warm and blanketing—the light hits everything at just the right angle to give everything metallic a pleasant glow. A gentle breeze occasionally blows to keep the terrace on the cooler side.

At the far end, there's a carpet of flowers in Cobalt's, Senpai's, and Thorn's unit colors, directing the three of them to their respective graduation doors once they've finished saying their goodbyes. ]

[He abandons the skewer on the grill, already forgotten, and walks over to the lawn where his big blue school bag is sitting on the lawn.]

I... I got something for you, too.

[Trailing after him]

Alright, well, mine is wrapped, sorta, so you can choose when you want to open it.

[Rooting around in his bag, he pulls out a very simple gift bag. It's nothing fancy, just butcher-paper brown and tied up with twine.]

[He offers it to Hurricane.]

[Hesitates, and then takes it - offers a sloppily-wrapped package of his own. The paper, at least, is brightly colored]

[He starts unwrapping it, carefully splitting it at the tape instead of tearing the paper.]

[The paper is janky anyway due to the poor wrapping job, but inside is a very handsomely carved wooden lantern]

[Probably he's been practicing. There aren't any noticeable flaws]

[he's speechless for a moment, staring at it.]

[He reverently runs his thumb over the wood, appreciating it]

Oh... Oh my gosh, Hurricane....

I wasn't sure, like - I mean, the paper one probly ain't gonna travel too good?

So I figured...

[His mouth wobbles a little, eyes getting damp.]

Thank you... This is... beautiful...

[Still staring at the lantern, he wraps an arm around Hurricane's shoulder and pulls him close in a side hug.

He swallows, voice sounding tight]

Th-thank you so much...

[Blinks a few times, rapidly, eyes suspiciously damp - snakes his arms around Cobalt to hold onto him]

[He squeezes him tight up against his side for a moment while he takes deep breaths and tries to get himself under control.

Once he feels like he's out of immediate danger, he lets Hurricane go, just so he can use both hands to carefully wrap the lantern back up in its paper, to keep it safe.]

I'll treasure this forever.

[He eases back, a little reluctant, when Cobalt does]

I mean - forever's a long time.

[Still not quite under control; his smile is decidedly watery]
