[ After a long, long, long night, you wake in the dead zone, having slept more deeply than you've ever slept before.

Perhaps more restfully than you've ever slept before, even—do you remember your dreams? Is it all coming back to you, now?

For certain dreamers, the flower markings have disappeared, though if you wake early enough you can catch them glowing bright before burning away painlessly. With that, it feels as though maybe a weight's been lifted off your shoulders—maybe you really needed that sleep.

For certain dreamers, you may find yourself waking up with something new—was that always in your hands? Where did you get that from? Do you remember?

And, for a certain few unlucky dreamers, you may find yourself waking with pain, wounds or scars that remind you that what happened last night was not entirely a dream.

But then, who could ever believe it was a dream anyway?

The sun shines bright; Heaven's chain shines brighter. In the distance, white clouds roll toward the city, threatening rain.

[ crouches down alongside him. ] ...hey nae salang. [ sets a hand to his head to tussle his hair. ] How are you feeling?

... like I have a headache. But at least I'm awake now.

...let's head back to the dorm then, and I'll draw a bath and fix you something easy on the stomach. I can even rub your head a bit if you like, though... [ she'll look around. ] Did you want to check on anybody first?

Nero, and... Vergil. I...

[he tries to get up and ends up wobbling, and falling back on his ass]

... need a minute. Apparently.

...had a feeling. [ she grabs him before he hits the ground. ] I saw Vergil. I haven't seen Nero yet. But I'm interested to see how the both of them are doing too. [ and a few others, because things sure did happen. ]

But as soon as things are sorted with everybody... let me pamper you. You're one of a few that really went through the ringer having people wander around inside your heart.

I... I was... in theirs, too. I was in Nero's, and I...

[his brow draws down, and he clasps his shoulder, where there's blood hidden underneath his shirt that's soaked his feathers--no injury, just blood]

[ she sets a hand on his shoulder and then slips it under his shirt to check to see if there’s a wound, but, nope, juuuust blood. frowns. ]

W- What happened in his? What happened to you?

... I failed him. I was... useless.

Hey. Raven, stop that right now. Until you hear it from him no you didn’t.

I don't need him to tell me when I saw what I did...! I'm such a fool...

And you have a chance to correct it where it matters. It’s just like those stupid ideal worlds. You learn from your mistakes and you push forward. I know you’re stronger than this, Raven, even if you don’t think so.

[he doesn't say anything, but it's easy to tell he's brooding]

Of course. [ she reaches down for his hand to help him to his feet. ] If we weren't in this stupid deadzone I'd summon my aibou to help, but... [ she's not going to let go of his hand, btw. ]

[he rubs at his neck again]

That may be contributing to why I'm feeling so tired... on top of everything else.

[he leans against her a little]

Let's head out and... get some fresh air. There must be a park bench nearby we can use.

Probably. I hate this place, and... well, I guess you never really had to deal with the consequences until recently. [ she’ll help him the fuck out of here, but as soon as they’re clear she’s summoning hydra to find and bring them to a park bench. ]

I was in your heart or head or whatever. And Vergil’s too. [ and a few others. ]

I was in Vergil's, as well.

[he tugs at the SSS sticker on his shirt]

It felt... strange. And some of it is... hazy.

I don’t remember much from his, if I’m being honest. My head is a bit foggy too. [ soon hydra finds a bench for them and stops, letting them hop off and go sit. he’s going to lounge around the general area in the meantime. ]

...from ideal worlds to hearts, this place sure does love diving straight into people to stir shit up.

[raven takes a seat and takes a deep breath, starting to feel a little better]

Were you hurt at all?

[ sits back and drapes an arm over her face, shutting her eyes and just... sighing. ]

A little, but it’s nothing I couldn’t handle. I’m one tough cookie. [ ribs him, letting her arm drop to crack a smile. ]

[he places his hand on top of her head, and pets her hair gently]

I know. But I want to comfort you, if I can.

[ slouches into him and leans up toward his hand. ] ...just having you beside me, Raven, is calming enough. I already feel more at ease.

[keeps petting her hair]

[ coils her tail around him and tugs him a bit closer. ] ...love you, Raven.
