If you can help a lot more people, and-- and everyone always comes back anyway, then I can see why she'd want to do something like that. What good are you, otherwise?

Well I've never cared about dying. Dying matters as much to me as stabbing myself does - it'll get fixed, so who cares?

Turns out, a lot of people.

My wife, who's only just started to learn how to not hate herself. I'd be a hypocrite to tell her to value her life while not caring about mine.

My boyfriend, who's terrified of dying more than anything... if I treat it like it's no big deal, it just makes him out like a coward, even though he's grinned and beared with more hardship than I could ever imagine.

My team, who might think that because I won't protect myself, then I'll feel like it's fine to sacrifice them, too.

My family, who hate seeing me hurt so much that they're liable to freak out and stab whoever's responsible, even if it was my choice.

And Kohime too... I don't agree that lives are a big deal. But I'll treat mine like it is, because I'm listening to them. Because I'll hurt them if I don't.

[she looks puzzled for a moment, and then pushes past it.]

It'd just-- be better if it never came to making that choice.

Anyway, if nothing else works, you could always try slowly blinking at her.

I tried it once and she stopped trying to throw my bed off the balcony.
