[ You are in an elevator, and it is not ascending into the Game Tower, no. This time, it's taking you down. You can feel it in the pit of your stomach, watch through the glass chassis as stone scrolls up and away and all around you becomes darkness.

And then, a screen flickers on. A bright, cheerful woman with fluffy pigtails waves at you with one hand, a brightly colored plastic crazy straw that's been speared through a few mango chunks in her other. Exael winks and speaks to the camera.

"And with summer comes what we all look forward to~ Summer Break! It's time to get away from hot stuffy Tokyo, and get away from it all! And so, everyone, we've brought your faa~avorite idols home here to you! In one of our very special hotels, for a very special game! Clasp your hands in prayer, hope real hard, and maybe you'll get a front row seat to their presence in the Hotel Omphalos!"

"May this show grant you Mirth, because soon starts—"

The broadcast cuts out.

The light does not return, as the elevator doors open. Instead, color so bright it can't be drowned out by the darkness spills in, and erodes the car away. You are left standing in an unfamiliar Hotel, and the game is just beginning. ]

[ You enter an open Hotel Room. It is as much mad chimera as it is room. Iridescent scales climb the wall, and the floor is less rug and more the thick soft fur of some beast. The walls in the paintings gleam with some intelligence of their own, moving as you watch them. Put your ears to the wall and you can hear breathing. The pillows are warm to the touch, and the pale dresser is clearly bone. Does the belly of the beast truly seem better than what is outside it?

There are four exits to this room. One to the North, one to the South, one to the East, and one to the West. ]

SHOTS SHOTS SHOTS!
A good-looking clubgoer hands you a shot glass matching the one in their hand, laughing, and calls for you to follow as they run off into the crowd. You fall into a trance.
You must attempt a Knowledge roll. If the result is 5 or more, you break out of the trance and gain 1 Knowledge. Otherwise, roll 3 dice to see where your new friend leads you:
6: The entrance hall.
5: The upper landing.
4: The second-floor landing.
2-3: Randomized room on the upper floor.
0-1: Randomized room in the basement.
Your character comes out of the trance with a bottle of booze held tight in one hand and feeling like they’ve done several shots.

she gets handed a shot glass and looks at it and immediately crinkles up her nose in disgust. it smells awful!! (rolled: 6 knowledge somefuckinghow)

she just sets the glass aside, and keeps on going. to the south again!! ]
