Solstice
Who: peps and invited guests (party crashers also welcome)
Where: pep!pep!
When: Day 191, afternoon to night
[on the morning of Day 191, an invitation went out to various people:]
You’re Invited!
pep!pep! is celebrating Solstice, a major holiday from the home of Glacies and Cobalt. It is a celebration of the return of the light to our darkest days, the changing of seasons, and appreciation for our friends and loved ones.
There will be food, activities, and places to hang out. No need to bring anything, as your presence is a gift enough, but if you really feel compelled, a light of some sort (candle, lantern, etc.) is traditional. That said, do bring a swimsuit if you’d like to play in the heated pool while you’re here. You are also welcome to bring friends!
Festivities start this afternoon and last until midnight. We hope you can join us!
((ooc: All are welcome, whether invited or not. If you have CR with a pep or the other guests feel free to attend))

Is this your first time here? I keep meaning to invite you over but everything is always exploding constantly.

Make yourself at home!

[ Starting to head towards the huge buffet, but he glances back to keep up chatting with Cobalt ]
Is this always a big celebration in your home too?
no subject
It depends! It's a big holiday but everyone celebrates it how they want. At my house we had a nice meal with close family, but apparently Glacies' family partied for a whole week to celebrate.
The main thing is to spend time with the people who are important to you. The details after that are open to interpretation.
Do you celebrate this holiday, too?
no subject
[ Hard to imagine when the only celebrations he can remember have all been in Imeeji ]
I—ah. I do not know. I haven't recalled anything about which holidays I followed in my home yet.
no subject
I think most holidays are probably just excuses to eat and hang out anyway. As long as you're having a good time, that's all that really matters.
I'm really glad you're here.

[ Loading a plate up with various cheeses and fruits ]
Were you worried I'd turn the invitation down?
no subject
I'm glad to see you because I'm happy I get to do this kinda thing with people I like. I've been wanting to do this for a long time.

Didn't put anything on the invitation about a dress code, and yet: [he spreads his arms, gesturing at everyone.
He doesn't look displeased, though.]

I think you're right. They'll take any chance to go as extravagant as they can.
