[ Rubbing at the side of his neck ]

I'd rather protect others than myself. I'm not crazy about dying. But if it's just me... I'm all right with taking the fall so that others don't have to.

I care about minimizing suffering among Pep. While I'd prefer none of you to be hurt, I get the whole emotional pain hurts more than physical because I feel the same way. So what I want is to ensure the least amount of suffering among everyone.

I also think Pink has a good point about how roulette might be better when we have to choose and our choices are severely limited. That way nobody's willfully deciding to throw anyone under the bus.

Yeah, I want us to have flexibility in general. I like Sunset's idea of giving other units a heads up on what's going on too.

I'm not saying to set this up so we never go down. I'm saying to set it up so it's not always one or the other. It's the only way we're going to be able to satisfy both sides.

I don't want us to always crash to save others when that mentality seems to make some of us like Dawn think there's something wrong with not wanting to sacrifice yourself. I don't like dying. It sucks. I'm willing to suck it up if there's no other choice. But I'm not here advocating that it's the more noble option. All I want is people to feel like they have some control over their decision so they can feel like they did the best they could. If they want to protect their friends or if they want to protect Pep.

I'm not asking anyone to fight us. I'm never going to advocate setting others against Pep or even saying that's okay. It's more... asking people not to go out of their way to protect us, like a lot of them do. They should make their choices based on what's best for their team, like us. And I'm not saying to give up and die either as that has nasty consequences, probably. I'm saying in the instances when we collectively decide the win isn't worth the cost, we do enough to meet the rules. We just don't go the extra mile. Basically, if we wanted to apply that approach to the last game, it would mean not getting that last hit on the scientists.

I'm not saying that exactly. More they don't need to go out of their way to protect us. They should make what they believe is the best call.

I would love to be able to just decide everything during the game itself, but that's what's got people uncomfortable lately. We need some basis consensus. So I'm pitching we don't stick to extremes, always one way or the other. That we have a general understanding that we play based on situation and people's comfort levels. People just need to be aware they have options for either, if they want to speak up. I think that's the best we're going to get.
