But... one where we just have to protect another unit? I mean... I know I haven't been here that long, but it seems like they like to - mix things up?

I doubt it'll be an exact copy. I mean, if you think about it, most of their games aren't too different. It's just the circumstances surrounding each game that change, but a lot of them boil down to hurt other people to protect yourself.

I suppose they do... and I haven't really been in many bad games, either. So I'm probably not the person to talk about any of this.

Did you have any preference on units? I don’t think there are any we shouldn’t try to protect, but I’d like to put down HSS as a priority.

Well... I suppose I'd have to say Bad End, then. Everyone always forgets them. I'd like them to know there's someone out there they can count on, who really wants them to be safe.

In the same vein I'd like to add FiN. I don't want them getting hurt anymore either. I think all three of them honestly get the short end of the stick...

Mm. I'd like to keep Angel safe, if I can. And Kaguya, but then she's on Taisho... oh, it's so hard to narrow this down!

It seems like for this particular plan we don't really have to narrow it down, so much as let Talon know if there's anybody we wouldn't want to protect, and it doesn't really seem like it. I don't think we'll have a problem with whoever we're assigned.

You're right, Yugi-kun. That was the problem in the last game, wasn't it? We couldn't narrow it down. So if we don't have to, that's good.

Exactly. I know this really only works for certain games, but it's a start, and if it goes well, then maybe everybody would be inclined to try to work out things for some of the harder games.

Maybe. I hope it does. I mean... I know it's going to be difficult. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't at least try, does it? It should be possible to make sure nobody gets hurt, in a game like that.

I think so too. I hope this all works out, because if it does, then more people might be inclined to try other plans to protect each other.

If we do, then I imagine the next game that has similar stakes is going to make really difficult for all of us. I'm trying not to think about that thought. They might see it as a fluke...
