To make a long story short. He tried to make several advances on me, and...was basically hurting me in public. He told you and the rest of the group that it was a "Lover's Quarrel".

He used my Father as a weapon to scare me into submission, telling him what I'd done as a way to keep me under his thumb.

I believe my Father arranged me to marry that man and received something in return for it.
