PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Who: everyone
Where: Lobby
When: Day 59 morning
[Cobalt stands in the lobby along with several other members of pep!pep!. His usual relaxed body language has been replaced hard lines and tension, and though he’s already tall, he seems even bigger today, somehow. For once, his voice is bold and carries to all corners of the lobby.]
Attention!
In light of recent events, today we bring you a very important Educational Live where we will be discussing what pep!pep! can do, and more specifically, what it is willing to do.
As many of you may know, one of the pep!pep! abilities is the power to revive the dead when working in tandem with sensitIV.
What many of you may not know is that we have no desire to use this power.
Do not think that death is cheap just because we have the power to undo it. Do not think that we are here to clean up your messes, or that we revive anyone happily or willingly. We do this at the expense of our own wellbeing, and this can be traumatic for us.
DO NOT TAKE US FOR GRANTED.
And be advised: the revival power only works within twenty-four hours of the victim’s death. Also, it does not heal, so unless the wound that caused the death has been attended, the victim will die again after an hour.
For this Educational Live, allow me to explain our brand new policy on non-game-related revivals.
ITEM THE FIRST: Fees.
The price for a revival starts at 1,500 points. This does not include healing fees from sensitIV.
The fee will be paid by the party responsible for the death, or that party’s unit. The responsible party will be determined by the judgement of the pep doing the revival.
If the same party is responsible for multiple deaths, the fee for each subsequent revival doubles. One point five grand becomes three, becomes six, becomes twelve, and so on.
Until the price is paid, pep!pep! will not revive anyone else from the guilty party’s unit.
Pep!pep! may waive some or all of the revival fee in the event of an accident, or may charge extra in the case of a committed murder. In other words, the fee ultimately comes down to the judgement of the person performing the revival.
ITEM THE SECOND: If you do not want to be revived in the case of your own death, a member of Taisho Roman Revolution has generously agreed to assist with writing Do Not Resuscitate agreements. These will prevent a member of pep!pep! from being able to revive you, even if they try. If you are interested, please speak with us privately.
ITEM THE THIRD: Pep!pep! reserves the right to refuse service for any reason.
If service is refused, remember that the permanent death of an individual is not pep!pep!’s responsibility, it’s the responsibility of the one who caused the death in the first place. Do not assume we will revive someone.
All of this said, we are not unreasonable. All thoughts and concerns from the community will be listened to, and we may revise our policy accordingly. You can talk to us here, approach us privately, contact us via Dissonance, or leave a note in our dropbox.
Thank you for your attention.

Surely you must have an opinion.
no subject
no subject
no subject
How long until people start to ask whether the sins of the past will matter here?
no subject
Let's hope never.
no subject
... you're probably fucked either way, but good thing I'm determined when it comes to this place.
no subject
One. As a person who also has impulse control and punched a certain person when they shouldn't have, perhaps taking a step back and analyzing the situation would help.
Two. He didn't have any memories.
Three. It was on a live. A FUCKING LIVE. You deserve death for being that stupid.
no subject
Not condoning the murder.
Just not obfuscating the motive, either. Which everyone else doesn't mind doing because delving into that means taking into account past actions, so over half of this place would be fucked over if that starts to matter.
[i can do the smart reasoning thing too.]
If you want to punch me for being the one to bring it up, go ahead.
no subject
Since we all ended up here in the same manner without memories, I haven't seen anyone else here act on past memories. Why should we start now?
[Oh. Pot. Kettle. Wait till he gets his Kul Elna memory.]
And why would I hit you? It's a valid point.
no subject
[shrug because I mean. he gets it. sometimes punching helps?]
And I think we haven't really talked about it as a group because the majority of us are still from the first group. But we as a group have gotten back enough memories where it is starting to effect judgement.
... I dunno, something I've been thinking about since I had a double turn up on Heart Soldier Senshi.
no subject
A double?
Not a twin or a clone or something else you remember, but a fucking double?
no subject
... yeah, I remember my family. No twins. And unless he's a clone made from Heaven or Hell, then not a clone, either. He hasn't bought a memory yet, so we don't even know if we have the same memories or not, yet.
He's pretty prickly. You have my full permission to torment him in the friendly fashion you do.
[thumbs up all chill because lmao his life in this place is so off the wall, kind of given up reacting to double situation for a little bit. it's fine.]
no subject
Processing the fact that doubles exist.
Thinking about what they are discussing.
.....
.....]
All of that and it might not have even been the right one.
[Look the prospect of doubles is disturbing. Especially when you have a not!twin who might not really be your not!twin now.]
no subject
Little bit fucked up.
no subject
Well, you can.]
Just a little. Looks like you better be getting back more memories to figure out if you really have a long, lost twin. Just how sure are you?
no subject
Yeah, gonna go with pretty damn sure.
Anyway, he's going by Mars for now, so just avoid any "mini-Boss" commentary and you should be fine.
no subject
Well.... fuck. And I thought this whole point blood money was going to the most exciting thing about today.
no subject
And I know. Wild times, huh.
no subject
[Looking back at the live.]
You're a social guy. How would you keep the peace?
no subject
[this is. basic.]
no subject
I don't think this was preventable. It was a murder on first sight.
But if you think talking is going to help, do it. I don't know Aries enough to know what makes him tick. He seemed reasonable enough when he came by BE=DE.
I don't even care if he doesn't feel bad about it. We've got bigger problems. If he has so much energy, spend it on that.
no subject
I'll be doing a lot of talking for the next while.
[looks tired thinking about it but like. also. getting back on the ball.]
no subject
no subject
But I'll see what I can do.
