Well, where I come from, repetition and imagination were the key to mastering any skill, not problem-solving.

Oh, you definitely have to problem solve in baking. That's where the imagination comes in too. Especially when you're working off your own recipe. You might have to add a bit more of this or that. Or bake a bit longer. All sorts of things. But the basics is just repetition, yeah.

Not imagination in the sense of creativity. Maybe I should have called it visualization, or confidence... or pride. The strength with which you can believe in yourself succeeding at something.

Oh, I get you. See yourself as the you you want to be.

And yeah. I don't like following someone else's rules. Baking's more fun when it's your own.

Yeah. Except it wasn't just positive thinking, you could alter reality that way. Your physical strength, your speed, your agility... They could change based on the strength of your mind.
