Go Fish: Trauma Edition
Who: Naughty little fishes
Where: Game Tower
When: Day 527
[So there you are, minding your own business on a completely normal day.]
[Then you blink —
[— and find yourself, and many other idols, in an unfamiliar room.]
[The room is large and round and made of glass, like a globe. ...No, like a fish bowl.]
[On the other side of the glass walls, you can see indistinct shapes moving around, but the glass distorts the light so much that anything farther than arm’s length is just vague smears of colors and shadow blending with your own reflection. But something is there. Possibly a lot of somethings. ]
[Two formless shapes approach the glass, and as they do, their images resolve into the shapes of a pair of twins, one grinning while the other pointedly looks away from his brother. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the one who actually looks cheerful about being here is the first to speak up:]
Guess what~? You’ve been chosen to play in our very first game. Isn’t that exciting?
[He throws his arms out theatrically.]
Especially after soooo many boring games. The audience is looking for excitement and thrills here! Why not take the chance to really cement yourself as the fan favorite while you have the chance? Heck, it might even fix your little... “problem.”
[There’s a beat of silence, and he moves to elbow his brother who shoots him a “hey what the hell?” look before reluctantly facing the gathered idols.]
...Make sure you protect yourselves. Otherwise...
[He just lets the thought trail off before looking away again. His brother leans on him, resting an elbow on his shoulder as though waiting for him to continue before finally giving up and shaking his head with a sigh.]
You heard him! Give this game all you’ve got - got it?

Re: Endgame
Let one state clearly here in no uncertain terms, that while you may not value your own life, one greatly values one's own! One is most relieved to have avoided being tortured to literal pieces in front of an audience! One has experienced quite enough pain and suffering for multiple lifetimes, thank you very much, and values one's physical and mental wellbeing enough to know that one would rather not perish publicly and-or explosively. Not by drowning, not by strangulation, not by fire, and especially not by erupting into foliage! Let one be explicit that one did not care to expire in this competition, nor shall one desire such a thing in the next one! Or in general! Or ever!! It is most frustrating to discover that you attempted to trick the one before you into killing oneself!
While one does, in fact, care to hear your thoughts and opinions in situations like this, one does not recall being consulted on the proposition of falling on our own swords. It is absolutely vexing to hear you made this decision on one's behalf! It is bad enough to have to worry about defending oneself from the other teams, but now one has to worry about the threat within one's own troupe as well!
So, to answer a question that was conspicuously not asked, one should very much like to stay alive and unharmed as much and as long as possible! One asks that you kindly remember this the next time such an opportunity presents itself!!

[She sighs and wipes her face with her new hand, and then looks at it as if just now noticing it for the first time. hey what the fu ]
Although one is frustrated, a good thing it is that you said something, and one is grateful for it. It allows one to understand you better, and shall hopefully allow us to find common ground or compromises at some point, even if it was not necessarily this one.
One does not begrudge that you value the lives of others more than even the combined lives of both of us. After all, we have not known each other more than a moment. What loyalty do you owe to me?
But even if you do not value one's life, one does. And one shall fight for it, even if one must fight against you. Do you understand?
Re: Endgame
If you ask me for my opinion, it'll be for the sake of others. But I won't stop you from making your own choices.

... What...
[suddenly a lot more awkward]
.......What do you typically do after an event like this?
Re: Endgame
I usually return to the dorms.
[No additional explanation needed, clearly.]
