fanmail + light holiday event!

[ it's FANMAIL TIME except this time the fanmail isn't in boxes they're in bags. why bags?

well, they're red bags. with fur lining. so maybe they're . . . santa bags . . . !!

Which means there must be gifts, right? Right? Which, yes. sort of.

Each bag has a dozen or so holiday decorations inside of them, and people who are caught aware (or are just unlucky enough to run into an already-opened bag) will find themselves accosted by one, with a little note of what the "cure" for the decoration is:

Once the cure has been fulfilled, the effect will fade, leaving the decoration a normal object. Until then, the decoration is stuck somewhere on an idol's body (movable, like it's metal to a magnet).

Status effects and decorations will disappear OOCly at the end of the month, so you can assume these are around for further posts!

The city itself seems to have been decorated for the holidays, with cutesy mascots and floats and Christmas lights bringing a festive mood, but be wary, because some of them are the very same cursed decorations accosting idols in the lobby right now and if you get too close they might stick to you................ ]

First is lovely picture of Alizarin and him sharing a scarf.] Oh, that does look warm. I shall have to bother Lupine for a peek at Lilis' scarves section.

...For one thing, I was not the reason my team won, so it would be inaccurate to say that I battled any ships.

[ Aliza's mail is all unopened, she has it under her arm as she floats on over (because walking is still a no-go). ]

You look happy with yours. [ But after the last game Aliza is quite sure she won't like hers, hence why it's not opened. ]

[He sorts through Aliza's bag, half-turned away so she doesn't see what's in there. Doctor pulls out the copies of their couple art, as well as the katamari pile that isn't in the middle of the ocean and the one with bat Aliza.]

I'll dispose of the others for you.

[ The bat one gets a sly, amused glance and the Katamari cuddle pile gets a much softer smile. Then she floats close enough to give Doctor a snug and a kiss on the cheek as she takes what mail he deemed all right for her to look at. ]

Thank you for sparing my fragile feelings. The ones of us are going up in my room for sure. [ Also probably the Katamari pile. Alpha... well, she won't get rid of it yet. ]

Of course. [He kisses her cheek in return gently.] I can't do much to defend you, but I can at least shield you from unpleasant mail.

You're not going to let me despair over my legs, despite my best efforts. That's as much defense as I'll ever need.

[ Generally speaking, she can manage herself physically, and without abilities turned on she can't imagine Doctor would have been able to do much for her because no one could have. She even dragged herself up from the water, kept some of the vile ocean creatures off Venti and tied off his bleeding arm with her corset laces after her spine snapped. It's what to do after the action dies down that she's bad at. ]

I'm certainly willing to distract you, at least. What would you say if I asked for singing lessons?

Singing lessons? Are you trying to woo someone else?

Only trying to learn how to better spoil the most important woman in my life.

[ If this is a way to get her to stop sulking it's surely working. Despite that Venti would absolutely be a better choice for this. ]

I suppose I could manage to come up with a few suitable love songs to practice with. [ Leather and Lace springs to mind immediately. But she's been alive more than long enough to have a comprehensive list in her head. ]

Any chance you want to go try it now? I could use some drinks and desserts, not necessarily in that order. [ The karaoke resort's honey toast will go a long way toward mending her, in her estimation. ]

I would be delighted to escort you to the karaoke bar. [Offers his arm, like a gentleman.]

[ She floats down a little so she can take his arm, but it leaves her feet dragging a bit since she can't flex her ankles. Hm. ]

Maybe we could take Periwinkle? I could also use some fresh air, and I promise to keep you warm. [ Chilly up there and all. ]

[Periwinkle pops into existence, nuzzling at her side.]

I'll never say no to flying with you.

[ Periwinkle gets a smooch on the nose, then Aliza levitates herself up onto his back. It takes a second to arrange her legs in a way she likes, needlessly fussy about it. When she's finally done with that she snuggles against Doctor. This is basically therapy. ]

[Periwinkle carries the two of them outside, flying at a gentler pace than normal.]

I do miss flying under my own power, but 'twould be harder to cuddle up to you that way.
