Goodness—um, does it hurt, or is it just discomfort and/or loss of mobility?

[ after a moment, she pauses, and then tucks sea slug eirene under his arm. ]

[Nods at the first question. And then gives a slightly pained smile when she gives him the toy. It's cute...]

All right, there you go. I'm just going to touch the arm lightly to numb it, okay?

[ which she does—rolling up her sleeves first (which makes it obvious there's some black crystals barely jutting out of her skin over her wrists) and then touching her palms lightly to his arm. ]

[hey guess who also has 'physical touch causes stab wounds'

the spot she touches now has a brand new hole in it, and he winces in a way that suggests he might have screamed if he was literally anyone else.]

[ at least,,, it's numb,,,,,,

however: ]

Oh. I see. Um—actually, just a moment. I think I have some ideas.

[ she goes to rummage in her pockets because what is a big jacket for if not to shove the pockets full of first-aid items. she starts pulling out a couple of pill bottles, a small flask of water, a roll of gauze, a roll of tape, latex gloves— ]

[How do you fit all of that in there? Is what he would ask if it wasn't too hard to use his phone right now. Kind of tilts his head instead.]

[ lots and lots of pockets. first of all, she uncaps the bottle, and gestures for his unharmed hand. ]

I'm going to give you some ordinary painkillers, and then hand you the water to take them with, okay? The pain won't go away, but it'll take the edge off, and then i can bandage that wound.

[Nods, and holds out his normal hand, careful not to touch her when he's taking the painkillers from her.]

There. You can keep the bottle, too—um, I can send it with a unitmate, or tuck it in your pocket or something, probably? I've got more of it at home. Now, water—

[ she hands over the flask. ]

[Taking the painkillers with water, gulp. He gestures towards Hades - Hades is dying for some way to be helpful right now, please give it to him.]

Ah—I can give items to him? Thank you! Next, um—I'm going to be careful and try and wrap up the wound without touching you, so if you can give me as much room to maneuver as possible, I'd appreciate it.

[ she starts putting on the latex gloves just in case that helps and unrolling the gauze so that she has a long ribbon of it between her hands. ]

[Sticks his arm out real far... This'll be fine, the worst that'll happen is he gets more holes in him from being stabbed again.]

[ she drops a gauze pad on the injury, and then very deftly loops the long strip of bandage around his arm so that she can grab the ends and pull them snug at a distance. ]

Doesn't feel too tight?

[Shakes his head, and gives her a thumbs up with his good arm. All good here.]

Excellent. Then, I'll tie it off, and snip off the ends carefully, and then give care instructions to a unitmate of yours.

[ and she proceeds to do just that in fact. ]

[Looks good! Give him a second to type on his phone one-handed.]

Well, just resting up and taking it easy is a good enough thing to do for me. After all, I'm a medic.

sensitIV does pretty well as a unit, so don't worry about our finances! If it helps to know, a lot of my unitmates like appreciation. Come to think of it, it's been a while since we did our favorite kind of event?

Well, it's not exactly my specific favorite, but I do like planning large events and setting up logistics—but, if you're new, consider it a little surprise, and please show up when our unit runs a Live next!

Oh! Persephone just prefers to be up late, rather than waking up early, and is usually up during the nighttime... I think it's mostly habit and constitution.
